Good News For Clinton

Post by UNHWildCats »

Some good news for Hillary Clinton and if Obama's presidency continues to have problems, she could be well positioned to step down as Secretary of State and challenge him in 2012 in hopes of saving the White House for democrats.

A new poll shows she outdistances Obama in approval ratings rather easily. Clinton has a 75% approval rating while on 21% disapprove.

Obama has a 51% approval rating and a 45% disapproval rating.

Clinton had 96 percent approval among Democrats, a healthy 57 percent approval among Republicans, and 65 percent approval among Independents.

Get that shit out of here. Want to see some approval ratings take a nose dive? Just watch Hillary's if she quits her job to challenge her boss.

Also, didn't you question Sarah Palin's commitment to her job as governor when she quit it to do book tours/quasi-campaign? But, you'd support Hillary quitting her job to do the same?

No shit! I'll bet Hillary prays more for Obama to fall on his face than some Republicans do.

That's different!

Seriously though, Obama is working an entirely different job than Clinton. You can't compare! Apples and Oranges, people.

big difference between stepping down from a position you were elected to vs appointed to. Difference between crapping on your boss vs crapping on your constituents that put their trust and faith in you. :twocents:

It's always harder to stay at the top. She is going to have a higher approval raiting, but she doesn't have the responsibility and accountability Obama does based on position. She does as she's told...of course her approval raiting is higher. If she were to step down and challenge him, it will be to the detriment of both of them. You think the Republican Party has a schism...try that.

Any thread created to suggest that the Democratic Party would commit suicide by not re-nominating Obama is stupid.

No way, ever. Obama will be the Dem candidate in 2012. Now quit being stupid.

Are you also saying Katherine Sebelius and Janet Napolitano crapped on their constituents when they resigned their respective governorships before their terms were up? :?:

I made it clear when I attacked Palin for resigning that I would have no problem with the move if it was to take a promotion (such as if her and McCain won in 2008) or if it would directly interfere with running for higher office, but to ditch her state a full 3 years from the 2012 election is not right.

And lets be clear too, she didnt resign so she could run for higher office. She resigned so she could make money off her celebrity.

She can stay Governor while she travels the country for 2+ months as she runs for VP but cant stay Governor to finish a term that ends before the next Presidential campaign even starts? Her move had more to do with money than anything else and thats why shes a douche!

I see, stipulations on how one can quit, which justifies your position. Gotcha. So, as long as a sitting governor is looking to expand their influence of power, by all means, quit on your constituents. Otherwise, you're just a quitting, piece of trash. :ohno:

Blah Blah Blah...they still quit. If you want to justify it to make everything perfect in your dream world, go for it. They still quit the job they promised their constituents they'd do for the term elected to serve. I know you choose not to look at it that way, but it's the truth...like it or not.
