The National Championship thread
Re: The National Championship thread
I thought Montana was going to run away with, but it was kinda like premature ejaculation, they came to quick and didn't have stamina to last.
If you don't like what I say you can PM me and get handled.

Question: Is it a "choke job" when the other team is just better than you?AppStateAlumQC wrote:CatMom wrote:God forbid they keep it at the game for a little bit to see the celebration or any interviews
Seriously. Makes me mad as hell. Tough loss for Montana, another choke job in the NC.

Not to take anything away from Nova, but I believe that we were pretty evenly matched all around. I think we just pulled an SDSU and forgot that the game consists of 4 quarters.AZGrizFan wrote:Question: Is it a "choke job" when the other team is just better than you?AppStateAlumQC wrote:

Drink all the coffee you want, I give Nova full credit for being the better team for 4 quarters, I just don't think we were as outmatched as we have been against CAA teams in the past (especially against Richmond).D1B wrote:Grizalltheway wrote:

Re: The National Championship thread
As AZ has said, there is no shame in losing in the quarters, semi's or NC. At that level all of the teams are extremely good, it comes down to match-ups and who is most ready to play on that particular day.Grizalltheway wrote:Drink all the coffee you want, I give Nova full credit for being the better team for 4 quarters, I just don't think we were as outmatched as we have been against CAA teams in the past (especially against Richmond).D1B wrote:

Yeah, Richmond kicked your ass big time. Montana is a victim of their own success. Here's the losing formula:
Shitty conference + no stiff OOC competition + home field throughout playoff = big let down in the NC when they finally go up against quality competion away from Wash Griz.
Quit being such spoiled fucks and step out on the stage and play someone every once in a while.

Difference was, against Richmond we had no answer for Sidbury, which shut down our offense. THis year we had no answer for Seizure, which made our defense look like a bunch of amateurs. He played like a man among boys.Grizalltheway wrote:Drink all the coffee you want, I give Nova full credit for being the better team for 4 quarters, I just don't think we were as outmatched as we have been against CAA teams in the past (especially against Richmond).D1B wrote:

Szczur and Whitney benefitted from an o-line that was much better than the Montana defensive front. Ball and Babbaro also had important yards because the o-line was dominating.AZGrizFan wrote:Difference was, against Richmond we had no answer for Sidbury, which shut down our offense. Re: The National Championship thread
I think a large part is the fact that Montana NEVER sees the option, and that system gives them massive fits. They've struggled against the few teams they've played that run it. I think it's less about an O-line that was "much better" and more about an O-line that was doing things they (the defense) weren't used to seeing.Tribe4SF wrote:Szczur and Whitney benefitted from an o-line that was much better than the Montana defensive front. Re: The National Championship thread
Cal Poly's offense looks nothing like what we saw on Friday. Cal Poly relys much more heavily (especially when they had Ramses Barden) on the pass.D1B wrote:Dont you fuckers play Cal Poly every year?AZGrizFan wrote:
