You all know I stay out of these threads for the most part. I don't see the point behind them. To me they are so stupid from the start. Both sides preach tolerance, acceptance, love, etc... yet neither side really practices it. The religious don't accept the homosexual community, other religions, non-believers, etc... The other side doesn't accept those that have a faith in something bigger. Both sides have gone to great lengths (violence and what not) to prove their point...yet they preach the exact opposite.

The band Emery has a great line in a song called Listening to Freddie Mercury. The last part of the song is as follows

We are all the same people
With sinning hearts that make us equal
Here's my hand, not words said desperately
It's not our job to make anyone believe

All of the members in Emery are Christians, but the band is reluctant to be labeled a Christian rock band. Although the band has a Christian outlook and mission, their concern is that being labeled as "Christian" will hinder their ability to reach their audience. That is a sad thing. People will hate things because they are Christian or not Christian, Muslim, Jew, etc...


I just wish everyone, people here included, could get past all of the bull shit that they spew, that the religion spews, that everyone spews, and practice what they fucking preach. Make the world better. You want to make the world better? Stop fucking bitching about people that think differently than you do, join them and help the fucking world....like you claim you do.


I don't even open the religion thread anymore because it is all complete bullshit. It's called faith for a reason. Those who believe have faith that their belief in a higher power(s), and there isn't a damn thing wrong with that, regardless what the atheists et al want people to believe. Just the same, what Atheists think isn't wrong because it isn't based around a higher power. All the fighting is complete and utter bullshit and you all should be ashamed for it because it makes you look petty and foolish.
