So, What Games Did You Make It To This Year?

Slow year for Cap'n Cat in football attendance. Only made it to four college games this season. Left one before it even started.

Took the kittens and a mountain of tailgating gear to a UW-La Crosse game, started unloading all my stuff when a campus cop pulls up and tells me you can't have a grill at their tailgate lot. WTF? We left and went fishing, instead.

Saw SW MNState lose @ Winona State.

Saw UNI dismantle YSU.

Saw UNI lose to ILSU.

Slow year.

Went to Chadron Nebraska in August for D-2 opening weekend, Chadron State over U. of Mary from Bismarck ND.

Next, we stole up north to witness the showdown for the Big Sky lead, and watched Montana dominate Weber State.

Lastly, it was Laramie Wyoming for the ill fated mismatch between Wyoming and TCU, and perhaps I got to see the best college football team in all of college football in live action.

Kind of lame for us as well, but I did have limited time on my hands this fall.

My Griz just lost the championship game, we lost our coach, and yet the thought of that game still brings a huge grin to my face!

Hmmm, a lot of folks on BCF diss those of us who can't make every damn game as being fair-weather or not true fans. So far, from seeing all who have posted here I think I did ok this year. Next year may be a bit worse because we'll only have 5 home games.

Slow year for me only made one Southern game (vs. PVU), also went to USF vs. Wofford, Florida Classic, ACC Championship Game and St. Pete Bowl

Only one, I'm afraid. Living 800 miles from campus puts a damper on things, especially when my weekends are usually packed.

I did make it to ODU at Jacksonville, which saw a number of firsts for the Monarchs. First road trip, first FCS opponent, and first come from behind victory. It was 113 degrees on the field that day, and if you know Jacksonville you sit right along the field on hot metal bleachers. My wife bought me a large snow cone and I quickly drank the juice, then took off my cap and poured the ice into it and put it back on. I had orange drips running down my head the rest of the afternoon.

I caught the rest of the season on computer. Maybe next season I can actually use my season seats. They are very good seats, or so I've been told.
