These two ... no one would beat the defense, if what I've been reading is correct about Doeren.
Except NDSU's defense was terrible this past year with Breske there.

I think Breske's stock has plummeted.

My preferred choice would be Pflugrad.

I don't think NDSU's defense was Breske's fault.. NDSU pretty much sucked as a whole last year.

His defenses have been very good wherever he was at so I gotta agree with ya on that one. I don't think he just all of the sudden lost his touch.

Despite Wyoming's failings during Glenn's tenure, the Cowboy D was always one of the best in the MWC, and there's a lot of potent Os in the MWC. I think he'd be a great Montana coordinator.

Not to burst anyone's bubble here but the AD and others have had a plan in the works for a week and a half. This is not new news to the U of M and they have a plan already in place. The new coaching staff will be announced shortly thereafter BH formally announces his hiring to UNLV Football.

I am not all that worried about what I heard. I just thought I would toss out my thought on who I like for coach of the U of M Football team.
Reason why I suspect it the new coach will be Pflugrad. At the time, I was wondering why he pulled his name from Portland State so quickly. If he had inside information that the Griz job was going to open up soon, it makes sense now.

I was thinking the same thing. He was up for the job vs Hauck in 03, and moved out there again this year. I think this has been on the backburner the whole time.

I don't, either, but it probably hurt his reputation.

I don't know about that. NDSU's offense was 28th. in scoring O (29.2 ppg), 6th. in rushing, and had the nation's leading rusher in Pat Paschall. The Bison defense, on the other hand, was 90th. in scoring D (28.6 ppg) and 111th. in passing efficiency defense (150.2). They only forced 3 INTs on the year.

It's quite a MASH unit around here but I think he has gotten a hold on that stuff. We haven't had any arrest involving those issues in quite a while. :D

I'll give him the job when he gets me a date with his daughter. :thumb:

Pflugrad makes the most sense of anyone I think. But they really should see who else will apply and take it from there. I think the job is his if they can come to terms. :twocents:

So, if they've had it figured out for a week and a half where's the announcement of the new HC? Don't tell me you were were misleading us..................... ;)

O'Day said a "Selection Review Committee" had its first meeting today (Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 23),and began the evaluation process.
The committee is comprised of 10 people: UM representatives Foley, Jean Gee, Senior Associate Athletic Director, Student Services/Compliance; Dave Guffey, Associate Athletic Director for External and Media Relations; Kent Haslam, Associate Athletic Director-Development; Dr. Jim Lopach, Professor and Chairman of Political Science and UM's Faculty Athletic Representative; O'Day; J.C. Weida, Associate Athletic Trainer, as well as three individuals from the community.
The committee will break during the Christmas holidays, and secure additional information on candidates in the interim. The Selection Review Committee will reconvene on Monday, Dec. 28th.
O'Day said that UM will name a new head coach prior to the National Football Coaches Convention, which is held in the second week of January.

I honestly think & hope that it will be Dave Doeren. I don't think of any of the other names mentioned have the resume he has, save for the pipe dream of McElwain.

Yeah sure. Think what your feeble bobcat mind wants. The school has it's next coach selected but it has to go through the motions. I would think that someone that fucks around on the internet message boards as much as you would know that, maybe not. You really do make it hard for fans to root for the MSU Bobcats.
This is what you posted on this board........

Re: Hauck. Gone. UNLV.

New coach and staff will be announced Wed. or Thurs. morning. They have been in the works since the week of the App St. game. BH knew he would be leaving and tried to go out on top. Didn't but still got the job. O'Day and others had things in place for if and when he left they would all be covered by X-Mas. Don't worry your little heads on this issue. The Program will be in good hands.

Hell yes, I know the process!! That's exactly why I knew you were full of shit when you posted the crap you did. Of course they have to go thru the motions, it's a state hiring process. From what O'Day said today an announcement will probably be made after the first of the year, but if something comes out next week I wouldn't be too surprised.

On the other board you said the new coach would be announced within an hour or two of Hauck leaving but I'm not going to waste my time going over there just to prove it. Hell yes, I know the process!! That's exactly why I knew you were full of shit when you posted the crap you did. Of course they have to go thru the motions, it's a state hiring process.

WOW. YUP you really know. "New coach and staff will be announced Wed. or Thurs. morning." THat is what I was told. So it looks like everything is going to be a day off. WOW. You really are an ass. I always expect something else from Bobcatfans, and yet, I get burned each and every time. You really should be proud of yourselves! I can see why everyone really dislikes going to Bozeman to play football. Great fans you got yourself there.
Sorry if I struck a nerve. Just keep in mind that what you post is available for the whole wide world to see. If your source of information is the swamper at the Mo Club you might want to sit on it for a day or two................. :kisswink:
