There is an estimated $90 M avaiable in incentives, media chores, etc. That small number weeds out a lot of the dream candidates. Pretty tight for a program that produces a significant surplus. I haven't heard anything but I ain't been combing the news sources so who knows. I don't think they'll be releasing any of the current assistants until a decision is made but if they release all but Pflu or Phen then I think it's gonna be pretty clear where they are going. From what I understand UM and Hauck are on good terms and UM wants to let him have a crack at the staff ASAP if they aren't keeping anyone.

Typically when a HC leaves all of the assistants are let go at the same time- if the HC is moving on he can take who he wishes, they can apply for the vacant HC job themselves, they can see if the new HC wants them on his staff, or they start looking for a new job. I guess I've never seen a situation where a new HC wasn't given total discretion as to assembling his own staff.

Technically I guess that could be correct because their contracts are probably good until the end of the fiscal year which is June 30. If Hauck doesn't take them and the new HC doesn't put them on staff I guess it's a bit of severance pay while they look for a new job. I guess what I was really looking for was updates on what caoches Hauck was taking with him (realizing that a couple are probably in the coach hunt). I think I was watching NBC last night & Jake Givens isn't my favorite sports guy by a long shot.
