I stare at people who are of obvious MIddle Eastern descent or dressed in Muslim garb. I stare at the motherfvckers. When they get up to go to the sh!tter, I act like I'm standing up to follow them. Families with children, obvious businessmen, women, the whole lot. I truly hope I make the cocksuckers as uncomfortable as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Maybe one day they will get a clue and stop donating money to CAIR and their fvcking second cousins in Lebanon. When I was a cop, I used to look right at them while I informed the stewardesses that I was a cop and if they needed anything I would be in seat 12-C. That's right, I'm an insensitive bastard who singles out people based on how they look. Fvck em.

Rein in your own shi!theads, assholes, and the CID will stop harrassing you. Otherwise, stay the fvck in Yemen or whatever sh!thole you escaped from.

That's because the local talent, like the white supremicists and the militia wack jobs, don't get any air time; they've been pretty busy since Obama got elected, like the dirty bomb in Bangor, Maine.

Shake your head all you want, Nancy. In foreign affairs, every diplomat knows that there is no such thing as allies, only interests. I know perfectly well how to be polite and diplomatic when attending a demarche or during representational events. However, I am an American first and I am also a realist and I will kill your ass graveyard fvcking dead if you have designs on hurting Americans. I will also be as nasty, intimidating and yes, undiplomatic about it as I can be, because people who will resort to killing to make a point only understand that language.

Sorry your tax dollars aren't being spent on someone more pussyfooted, but that's just how it is.

That's fine, but there's no reason to be an asshole to someone based soley on their heritage. If they do something that makes them look suspcious, go ahead and take whatever measures you deem necessary, but why all the blind xenophobic rhetoric? I know you're smart enough to recognize that not everyone with dark skin and a turban wants to take down a plane.

Of course I recognize that every brown person with a kaffiyeh isn't a terrorist. Get into a convo with one of them one day, ok? They still at the very least acquiesce to the activities of the radical half of Islam. I am a Christian and I think that abortion is killing, but that doesn't mean that I in any way condone the bombing of abortion clinics. I sure as hell do not contribute money to Christian organizations that would condone that kind of behavior. Even some of the most moderate Muslims send their money to places that ultimately channel it to people who strap on bombs and kill innocents.

Right now, people look at me as the a$$hole American. That's just fine with me. One day, moderate Muslims (of whom I count MANY as friends) will wake up and realize that they are going to have to fix their own house, because it is sure as hell that we (and when I say we, I mean we Americans who are so afraid of offending people to the point that we search little old ladies in walkers at the boarding gates) aren't going to do it. If more Americans were a little less accomodating then maybe this would come about sooner.

Think about it, Grizz- you are taking issue with the fact that I make people feel uncomfortable. I don't spit on them, I don't blow them up or otherwise kill them. I do sometimes make them uncomfortable based on their unquestioning adherence to a religion that dictates that other people are INFERIOR and worthy of earthly death based on religion. Are you looking at your own belief system, or are you just looking at others in your own sphere? You are chastising me for being rude. Too bad there aren't more Grizzalltheways in the Muslim community.

Keep on making nice, Bubba.

I agree with you on the muslim hierarchy passivley condoning terrorism (especially some of our supposed allies like Saudi Arabia), but do you think in the past decade that more innocent christians have died at the hands of muslims or more innocent muslims have died at the hands of christians?

More innocent muslims have died at the hands of muslims than the hands of christians.

Approx 75% of Americans claim to be Christian, 100% of the muslim extremist are muslims. Muslim extremist are killing in the name of their religion, and directly target innocent civilians.

The follow on question to the obvious answer is, "Why were we there killing Muslims in the first place?"

For innocents, women, little kids to die in war?

Most muslims are not extremists, and painting the picture in broad strokes does nothing to help with understanding the problem and how to fix it.

We can't kill them all, yet we currrently have military operations going in five muslim countries. Are we preventing further terrorist attacks on the US? Sure. Are we creating future terrorists through collateral damage. Absolutely.

Pretty sure we could if we really wanted too. The area wouldn't be habitable for thousands of years, but ya, we could if we wanted too :coffee:

I'm not saying we should by any means. The difference between us and them is, we use restraint, they don't. Do you think the extremists would show restraint if they could destroy their enemy? Not likely, hell, they don't even care if they kill their own.

I've lived in a Muslim country before. And yes, there is little difference (especially in the younger generations thanks to the internetz probably). A lot of Muslims actually adore American culture (cars, movies, singers, barbies, pokemon, WOW, etc.). I mean, this may come to a shock to some of you, but there are clubs and bars in some of the countries too; it's really not THAT different. When I visit my family back in the ME, a lot of new people I meet are really curious about America (in a good way), and never seem to give me crap about it. The last time I went, a lot of them even said that it was a blessing that we're fighting terrorism there. It really affects a large majority of people. Unfortunately, it's the few shitheads that mess it up for everyone...plus they have the guns and the governments are not exactly the strongest.

No problem with extra screening... every time I've come back from a foreign country, I "randomly" get pulled out of the line (here going through customs/leaving that country) and my bags get checked... I always chalked it up to being a "college age" kid and they probably thought I was trying to take some dope on a plane. TSA is on top of things in certain aspects, I bought a one way flight last year to philly the day before the flight and I got yanked out of the security line and all my bags/clothing got tested by an ETD machine for residues that could be used in an explosive device.... and I'm Appa's biggest fear, a white male with blue eyes.
