Apparently Danny Boy has the upper hand over any other teams in the running (there is at least one) since he got to personally spoon Shanahan last night in his own bed.
"Snyder planned for Shanahan to stay overnight at the owner's house in Maryland, and a formal hiring announcement could come as early as Tuesday."
I think McDaniels fading at the end of the year gave Shanahan more life and might allow him some control. At the beginning of the season McDaniels was making Shanahan looked washed up but then we saw that it wasn't necessarily McDaniels but more just a lucky start.
Heard some people talking about the "Rooney Rule" not being met yet as they interviewed the skins coordinator before they fired Zorn. Any weight to that?

The "Rooney Rule" needs to go. Teams know who they want to hire, forcing them to schedule extra interviews is a waste of time.
Rumour out of Houston is that Junior will be Shanahan's OC.
