LA Stadium builder targets Bills, Jaguars
The company behind a plan to lure the NFL back to Los Angeles said Tuesday the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills are the first teams it will try to relocate.
Majestic Realty Co. managing partner John Semcken said the company is still considering at least seven franchises for a new stadium some 25 miles east of Los Angeles.
They also include the San Francisco 49ers, San Diego Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders.
But he said the Jaguars and the Bills are at the top of the list because they play in small markets that tamp down their earning potential and because they have little hope of building larger venues in their home regions.
“Jacksonville and Buffalo are two teams in very, very small markets, he said. “They are teams that have either outdated stadiums or are having trouble filling their stadiums or both.”
The Jaguars have struggled for years to fill Jacksonville Municipal Stadium and had several games blacked out on local TV this season. The Bills, meanwhile, have been playing some home games in Toronto in an effort to expand their market.

Jacksonville has NO business fielding a pro sports team. Hell, Florida has no business trying to field THREE pro football teams. There's no doubt the NFL over-expanded several years ago, and needs to get back into the L.A. market.
Jacksonville would be a great option.

I'd rather see Jacksonville relocate than Buffalo. At least Buffalo has some NFL history with OJ Simpson and the 4 consecutive Super Bowl teams.AZGrizFan wrote:Jacksonville has NO business fielding a pro sports team. The other thing about Buffalo is that they draw fans across much of Upstate NY. As far east as Syracuse and on the Southern Tier, to Elmira. The metro Buffalo area may be small, but throw in metro Rochester and Syracuse plus the other smaller areas, and their "TV Market" is larger than people realize. They're a regional team, much like the Broncos.BlueHen86 wrote:I'd rather see Jacksonville relocate than Buffalo. Ah, my story had a big thing in it too. You just didn't give it time to develop.

The only one I wouldn't care about moving is Buffalo. Leave them there. That town needs them.

They also draw from Toronto and the other nearby Canadian markets.Marcus Garvey wrote:The other thing about Buffalo is that they draw fans across much of Upstate NY. If Jacksonville move to LA then are the Jags gonna be in the AFC West and KC the South. Because LA doesn't belong in the South

still Dallas was the only team they did that with. They didnt leave the Saints in the West with SF and they didnt leave Tampa with the North. LA team have to play Houston,Tennessee,Indianapolis for division games is way too far

If would make more sense, and I am sure that is what they will do if Jacksonville does relocate - but they did leave Arizona in the East for many years after they moved.

The only real reason the mis-aligned Dallas is still in the NFC East is $$$$

I think switching the Rams and new LA team would be easiest, but IDK if they would do it.

So ideally, the Rams move back to LAdgreco wrote:I think switching the Rams and new LA team would be easiest, but IDK if they would do it.
Re: LA Stadium builder targets Bills, Jaguars
well moving the Rams to AFC South and new LA team to NFC West, but we could just relocate the rams to LA and relocate Jacksonville to somewhere else.
