my argument still stands here's a quality team for them to play.
Yes and they are real happy to get that one. The point is that even when offering to forgoe the H&H they can't get one. They need a little more than one a year in their minds as the one win against Oregon this year still left the BCS boys and the pollsters with doubts as to their abilities.
I get your point but you have to start some where. Most of those schools don't want H&H's with each other, if LSU, UF, Bama or whoever don't want to play big time OOC programs near them what makes people think they want to play Boise? those teams are happy playing Directional Michigan and the ULaughs of the world.

Because 2 of the 3 you listed have hard enough conference schedules to make up for playing the U-Laughs of the world. Boise doesn't have that luxury, and by NOT playing them, the Big Six retain their power.

I can see that but it makes the point extremely clear that the BCS conferences and fans that like to make the claims that these other teams don't deserve to be in a BCS championship due to the lack of scheduling the big timers are the ones that are trying to keep the schedules weak so this card house can stand a bit longer.

Boise St. has a solid OOC schedule for 2010. They open vs. Virginia Tech in DC and also play Oregon St. They will likely start the season as the #2-#6 team. So if they can beat VPI and OSU (and the rest of their games) they will likely finish the season #1 or #2. Only #2 if a team above them week 1 from the B10, SEC or Big 12 wins all it's games.

Agreed, they are set for next year; as long as they take care of business. Much of the article dealt with the 2011 season, where they can't seem to schedule a quality opponent road game with no return date required.
Boise State is no doubt better than what they were 5 years ago. They have prestige now, ever since they beat Oklahoma their recruiting has opened up I think. Granted they aren't getting the players USC and Florida are getting but the play physically and with finesse (pending on who they play) and they are very well coached
JohnStOnge wrote:You know, as far as I can tell the only basis people have for believing Boise State can't schedule more BCS league teams for non conference games is Boise State saying so. Why doesn't the guy at least name names so the reporter can go to the people who supposedly won't schedule Boise State and ask them about it? I think the idea that Boise State just CAN'T get more than one BCS league team per year to play it (that's usually what it is) is nonsense.
I've said it in other threads and I'll say it again. There are other non BCS league programs who've shown themselves to be dangerous to BCS leauge teams and they're able to get games against BCS league teams.
Appalachian State can't even get a BCS school in our state to play us...I don't doubt Boise State for a minute. If you really can't see that FBS is all about protecting the BCS...you're more naive and simple than I ever thought. He doesn't name names because then he would 100% guarantee himself to never schedule another BCS team.

Congress (Democrats and Republicans) are just like the BCS. They do everything they can to keep anyone else out, even if that means teaming up together. Congress is the BCS of politics. Oh yeah, Congress has done fantastic work over the past decade...let's give them the opportunity to fok up FBS even more.
