The end to the UM/ISU game was really unlucky for the Griz. Amorrow Morgan missed a running attempt and Demetrius Monroe had his put-back brutally rejected by Brian Qvale, but the swat went right into the hands of Austin Kilpatrick and he promptly nailed the long deuce at the buzzer for the win.

If there was ever a moment that exemplified how blocks are the most overrated stat in basketball…

Was ISU really 1-10 coming into that game? If so, there is NO excuse for the Griz to have ISU that close to even have that ending be a factor.

1-10 against DI, yes, however all but one of those games were on the road. They also lost to two teams the Griz beat (Boise & Oregon, though Oregon was close). Montana had been dominating on inside D all year, but that didn't happen in Pocatello largely due to severe foul trouble for Qvale (only played 16 minutes).

I've been to 3 out of the 4 UNC home games, including the great win, 72-57, over U of Denver last night. UNC to date is a very legit team. TCU on the road will be a huge test, but at a 165 RPI, and being 4-6 so far, UNC has a chance for a W. Oklahoma is now at a 111 RPI, is 8-4, and UNC only lost to them by 1 point at their place.

Very nice indeed. There were a lot of NBA scouts in attendance to see Seattle’s Garcia. Katz had a great game plan of double and sometimes triple teaming him. He was held under 10 points after the first half. The best was the “over rated’ chant that got going when Sac State was putting the game on ice with FT’s.
