Agreed. It doesn't represent the school well, or the people who did it. But the main reason this is getting the outrage it is is because it is against the gay community. I laughed at it as well. I laugh at jokes about every religion, ever race, sex, sexuality, gender, age, etc...

Was the joke tasteless? Yes. Should it have been published? Nope. Does being offensive make it go from worthy of a laugh to someone needs to be fired/sued? Nope.

Anything is open and I don't hold certain ones as "precious territory" that can't be broached. Some are funny most are not but I have a problem with any group that gives these jokes any power other than a forgettable passage that should be left to die on it's own.
