Re: George Bush Responsible for Haiti Earthquake
I have some colleagues (out of the Embassy in Santo Domingo) who are in there now. Some of the pictures are just fvcking awful. The really sad thing is that natural disasters are even harder on people with zero infrastructure than they are on, say, California.
The saddest part is going to come about 4-5 days from now when aid workers are going to need armed escorts just to get down the streets, and one brigade of the 82nd Airborne is not going to be enough.

It is always about politics. It is always about power. Why the hell do you think the people of Haiti are without any resources? And why do you think Obama is rushing in aid...because he doesn't want anyone to say his reaction was as slow as Bush's to the hurricanes.
More than 10,000 people all over the world died horrible deaths and suffered worse trauma the same day the earthquake hit Haiti. Where were you to help the woman who was being raped, knifed, or beaten in the US, Afghanistan, or Paris? How about the kid sold into the sex trade in Europe or Asia?
Oh, it wasn't on the news so it didn't happen or you didn't have time to care.

Haiti = Mother Nature taking care of something we, as humans and stewards of the planet, should have done a long time ago - education and proper family planning.

But...but...but...they deserve to overpopulate their land and dwindle their resources...and they DESERVE to get some of ours. Forget about your morning bike ride you selfish bastard. Sell the bike and give the money to someone who deserves it. Joe let it be written; Joe let it be done.
Wonder if Joe has sold all of his belongings yet and donated the money to Haiti? Or is he just like any other run of the mill would-be-leader...tell everyone what they should do while not actually doing it themselves.
Disasters bring out all the frauds.

Re: George Bush Responsible for Haiti Earthquake
On the subject of this being about politics, Danny Glover is left, and what does he say is the cause, GLOBAL WARMING. I think he is just a little bit TOO involved in his 2012 movie. According to the left, everything that happened so far appears to be "Bush's fault" im surprised the Dems didnt come out and say it was his fault again.Cluck U wrote:Dope.wildkyle wrote:I think it wrong for this type of thing. Re: George Bush Responsible for Haiti Earthquake
My heart is actually warmed that President Obama has enlisted the aid of George W. to lend his expertise to this natural tragedy. Bush has already proposed massive airdrops of relief to these beleaguered people, and he's calling it, Operation Set The Haitians Free.

I think it was ironic that the president and the 2 former presidents told people to not send blankets, food, etc. but money instead because "they know how to spend it"....Clinton may be the only one who had a clue on how to spend
