Seems a bit premature, bonarae. Harvard plays Cornell on the road this weekend. If they win that big test and beat a mediocre Columbia squad as well, then we can start dreaming about the Big Dance.

^ It's never really too early to tell, based from the OOC results. We'll see when we pass our true test (the Cornell series).

Meanwhile, SI has featured Jeremy Lin and Coach Amaker.

I've learned over the years never to put much faith in Harvard men's basketball. When I was a freshman, Harvard was supposed to win the Ivies and go deep into the NCAAs with 3 high-school all-Americans, including sportscaster James Brown. When league play rolled around, they tanked: they finished either 7-7 or 8-6 in the Ivies, and coach Bob Harrison got his walking papers.

Harvard's big NY road trip starts tonight at Columbia. The Crimson is a 7-point favorite. Then it's on to Cornell tomorrow.

3 down, 11 to go. Harvard routs Columbia 74-45. Today Harvard has a very critical game against Cornell. Wittman vs. Lin: Who will win?

Nice baby step. I still say the Wittmans beat the Lins tonight by 5. :|

Harvard has Penn and Princeton at home this weekend. Both schools are having relatively weak years, especially Penn. They'd better sweep if they have any hope of keeping up with Cornell.

Not again.  :ohno:
Harvard lost to Princeton 56-53. Penn tomorrow.
If the Crimson lose again, I'll no longer cheer for them.

Shades of the '72-'73 team. Big OOC hoopla, followed by Ivy League flop. :ohno:

Princeton now 4-0 in league play. Cornell is 6-0. One of those streaks has to end next weekend when they play each other.

Harvard gets big OT road win at Yale to improve to 5-2 in the league. Penn upsets Cornell, which falls to second behind still-undefeated Princeton. Cornell at P'ton tonight in a showdown that could make things real interesting ... if Cornell wins. Otherwise, the Tigers are in the driver's seat.

What a tight race! Cornell knocks off Princeton, Harvard beats Brown, and Columbia stuffs Penn after Penn's upset of Cornell last night. In Ivy play, Cornell now 7-1, Harvard 6-2, P'ton 5-1.

Too bad this is all for nought since the IVY Presidents would never allow any of their student-athletes to be distracted by Post-Season play.

Harvard's out of the Ivy race now at 7-3. Cornell is 9-1. Princeton is 7-2 after a surprise loss to Brown. If Harvard wins 2 of its last 4, it will have 20 wins. NIT bid, anyone? 8-)

Harvard sweeps Brown and Yale at home, but Cornell will win the Ivies again. Harvard has 20 wins (9-3 Ivy). Pretty good season, with one weekend to go at Penn and Princeton.

Ended year with 21 wins. Lost twice to both Cornell and Princeton. So we finished 3rd in the Ivies. Not a bad showing, but no Big Dance. :|
