12. And the earth gave forth vegetation, seed yielding herbs according to its kind, and trees producing fruit, in which its seed is found, according to its kind, and God saw that it was good.

What is it about this, that the self richeous assholes do not understand?

Tman, you have it backwards, as usual. I know countless people who were drinking way too much, then started smoking weed and their drinking plummeted and careers skyrocketed.

Sorry Bud, you don't know what the fuck you're talking bout. You aint the world. :coffee:

:o

That's the most ignorant statement you've ever made.

The psychoactive, physiological and psychological short and long-term damage caused by marijuana are well researched and documented. Suggesting that marijuana use inhibits alcohol addiction and promotes health, wellness, motivation, and professional success is beyond comprehension.

You need to get a grip on reality if you REALLY believe that hooey.

Tman doesn't seem to understand that you can in fact control your weed intake, and that it really isn't that terrible for you in moderation. Are you going to get anywhere in life if you smoke pot all day, every day? Of course not, but I, and most of the people I know who smoke, don't do anything like that.

I'm telling you, that sh!t is fvcking hilarious; what people will do to fry their fvcking brains out, and how they act when they are on the stuff.

Especially acid. I love that sh!t. I've seen prom queens strip bare fvcking naked in the middle of the road with their Baptist parents sobbing in the police station lobby afterwards.

Human wreckage. I get off on it. It's better than WWF and Springer all rolled into one.

That being said, law enforcement would be just as busy and spend just as much money on expensive detection for impairment and enforcement of DWI laws as we currently do in the war on drugs. My beliefs on this subject are strictly libertarian. I could give a sh!t about the money. The government isn't going to lower our taxes or quickly move to balance the budget if we suddenly end the war on drugs.
 Haven't seen those, but I've been to a Baptist church, so I think I understand.

You gotta feel sorry for a guy that grew up 2 hours from Mustang Ranch and still couldn't lose his virginity until he was 37 years old.

You nailed it right there. Every one of my cycling buddies, all the serious kayakers, and most of the tri folks I know partake recreationally. They are all hardcore fitness nuts, but will blaze one in a heartbeat when the opportunity arises. But they all drink like fish when they can too!

But, seriously, that's the point, we all do it in moderation, and infrequently. I have three young kids, and a wife that doesn't smoke weed (she just doesn't like it  and I married her anyway. Love will make you do some fucked up shit. :ohno: ), so I can't burn one down whenever I please. It just isn't my life right now. But don't think that when I retire, I'm not gonna get me a sailboat, sail off in whicheve direction the winds blowing, grow my beard down to my knees, and get stoned as a bejeezus every damn day.

Nice attempt to distract everyone with a strawman. Doesn't change the truth of my statement, only validates it. There are lots of reasons people don't achieve success. A guy that gives up the rat race to wait tables and smoke weed all day might be hailed as a post-modern hero by some. If he's happy, then what do you care? My point still stands, the vast majority of adult users lead normal productive lives, without the extreme damage that you use as your justification for not legalizing pot.

Go hump your sister, BanjoBoy.

I dropped this as nothing's being accomplished.

Pot will not be legalized in CA. This thread is mental masturbation for the stoners who seek validation of a nasty drug addiction.

DD's last point is invalid, as I can counter that I know many "functioning alcoholics" that hold positions of management and "lead normal productive lives" too. Like marijuana, however, that doesn't mitigate the damage resulting from it's addictive properties.

Now, go take care of Appettaholic while she's still bleeding.

F***ing fine with me, Red-Dick.

Even during prohibition people were allowed to make wine for personal consumption. I'm all set.

Ahh...namecalling...the last vestige of the spanked & humiliated....

Seriously though...how is brewing your own wine during prohibition any different than growing your own weed currently? If they are both destructive, why not ban both? & how is it not an infringement upon one's liberty to criminalize that which hurts no one but yourself in the end....

Seriously though...how is brewing your own wine during prohibition any different than growing your own weed currently? If they are both destructive, why not ban both? & how is it not an infringement upon one's liberty to criminalize that which hurts no one but yourself in the end....
Because the stock Tman owns in big pharma will plunge if they legalize it.
Just like the value of the "soon-to-be-lakefront property" on the backwater created by Auburn Dam....

For god's sake dd, don't ask him stuff like that if you don't want to endure whole chapters of Atlas Shrugged.
