Nothing definitive. The (Cleveland) Plains Dealer, which has the culprit's email originating IP, is refusing to release it though Ed Morrissey has, and it came back to a spoof address from Saudi Arabia. There were 61 other papers that have come forward and acknowledged receiving or publishing the letter. I'm suspecting there's been a huge "greaseball" cover up of leaks surrounding the endeavor. Several people who've shown up claiming to be "Ellie Light" have been caught already, including a Dem contributor, Adam Segal, an ethnicmarketing businessman who's currently promoting Hispanic healthcare issues.

Bottomline...

...whomever did it is going to be caught and outed. NOTHING happens over the web that cannot be traced.

I suspect it will be one of Axelrod's "Organizing For America" operatives as they were responsible for the similar "Mark Spivey" faux astroturfing scheme a while back.
