U.S. Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes

What I want to know is if it's "Secret" and a "Code"...how will anyone, Christian, Jew, Muslim, atheist ...know what the inscription even means?????

It's not a "secret" or a "code" - that just makes the news story sound more interesting. Basically, they have a serial number on the equipment and at the end of it they put a Bible verse, something like "JN 8:12". Nothing complex, nothing that isn't normally done to cite Bible verses. And apparently they've been doing it well before they sold these to the military. Of course, that doesn't fit into the "secret code" stories, but it is what it is.

I will reiterate my earlier point; we can't say that we are trying to win their hearts and minds and then use weapons that might be construed with a crusade. If our intent is total war, than so be it, use whatever is needed. But if we are trying to win their hearts and minds then maybe we should tone down the Christianity a bit. I don't think that using guns with no Bible passages is too much to ask.

Actually, I do agree. I find Bible verses on a gun in bad taste. Unfortunately, there is no place, it seems, for me. I'm more conservative than liberal, I oppose abortion, I support gay marriage, I'm jobless, I'm a mainline protestant. Seems like extremes on both sides rule the day and have for WAY TOO LONG. What is one to do?
