A "jack" Mormon is merely a backslider. You don't have to be a "jack" Mormon to be libertarian, and being "jack" does not necessarily imply libertarianism.

I do not know Glenn Beck, but he appears to be a practicing "Latter Day Saint" (Mormon), and his expressed point of view is solidly libertarian.

Gingrich is not electable nationwide, Jeb Bush is actually a decent candidate but his brother's performance has pretty much erased any chance of that happening, Dan Quayle (??? seriously? I'm shocked he's even still around), and Santorum probably still would get trounced in an election in PA if he ever ran again, let alone a nationwide one.

Of course, barring a sustained economic malaise, all of this could be moot as Obama is clearly the favorite for 2012, even with his currrent problems.
Jeb is a superior politician and public servant compared to his brother. Examples: his flawless Spanish and his competent handling of hurricanes in Florida. Despite his mistakes and the left-wing stereotypes, GW is a pretty smart guy, but brother Jeb probably has 20 IQ points on George. If - God forbid - there is another successful terror incident on American soil, Jeb might become an instantly viable candidate.
 An acorn squash is a superior politician and public servant compared to his brother.

Jeb had some problems with Medicare fraud back in the day when his brother was running Silverado S&L into the ground and sticking the taxpayers with the bill.

Beck converted to Mormonism from Catholicism, because of his alcoholism. 8-)

Mormons and Catholics make very strange bedfellows to say the least, but it makes me wonder, was it the sacramental juice of the Eucharist that tipped him over, or just juice in general?

I would be fine with DeMint's economic views but there is no way he wins in a national election. He would dominate the south and and the plains, but ultimately he has the EXACT OPPOSITE views of people in the Northeast and West coast

I agree. He also isn't inspiring. Not that I need inspiration, but it doesn't hurt in a national election.

Pawlenty must be good because TTBF has been bashing him. He can't win though, South St Paul Jinx. He played JV hockey for SSP, the High School with 26 State Hockey Tourney appearances and no titles, Paul Housley no Stanley Cups, no Olympic Golds. Doug Woog, no NCAA titles as coach of the Minnesota Gophers. Jim LeClair and Jim Carter, no Super Bowl titles. Many more examples.

Come on, now you're saying Jeb Bush is no good because he had a brother that screwed up at Silverado? And you're digging up old 1980's stuff that didn't stick then and obviously didn't stick over the past 2 decades? You've got to stop reading Democratic campaign blogs, man. Just like the X-files, the real news is out there.

Here's the thing about W & I am by no means a fan.....but he was still able to get legislation passed not only without a 60-vote super majority, but with a democratic congress (Surge) his last two years....yet the dems can't even get a bill out of the senate or house for a vote.....the Republicans owe their continued political existence to the boundless ineptitude currently running the DNC.... :coffee:

He's incognito, working for a candidate running for the Governership of Minnesota. I think it's narrowed down to 1280 candidates on the Donk side of things.
