Wow. What part of the current progressive agenda (in this country) advocates the extermination of entire groups of people? Interested to hear this one.
I wonder what the sanitary conditions would be like in those re-education camps Bill Ayers envisaged? No totalitarian government in history has ever come to power by advertising what they were eventually going to do. Hitler came the closest to doing so.

(Not that modern US progressives would ever have the stones, much less the ability to do it.)

Well there is surely no reason for this country to become social, I have found that in business, I am much more effective being anti-social.

Yeah, being a totally selfish and non caring douchebag puts lots of coin in my coffers, because people who do business with me really want to be looked down upon, and treated like the uneducated and ignorant battle flag flying, lite beer drinking, and no checking account owning losers that they really are. They have their pride, and don't feel they should have a coon in the White House. GWB was an equal, a bro to them, and now we have this Obamanation.....

Where is our "terror threat level" graph, and where, God Damn it is our yellow ribbon magnets??

We don't need no stinking health care, things are just dandy the way they are.

'nother round of them Bush Lites Bob!!

Next!! 8-)

Nice try, but Bill Ayers doesn't speak for progressives as a whole, just as some bomb-throwing anarchist who wants to abolish the federal government doesn't speak for libertarians as a whole.

I'm sure there are people in the US who want to the government to control every aspect of our lives, but saying that all progressives feel that way is, well, retarded. :coffee:

Not reading carefully is, also.

I never said that all progressives feel that way. I am simply saying that there are some progressives in this country who DO think that way.

It was one of those D1B-esque Captain Obvious statements, that's all. You can go about your business.

There is no truth to you moral equivalency argument. Obama who has personal and professional ties to William Ayers. Can you name another such President with personal and professional ties to an anti-American bomb-throwing anarchist??

Do people really fear Homeland Security? All we hear about is how they mess up...who could possibly fear them?

And isn't great when some loopy writer with no experience in the real world decides that corporate American is the reason that his books don't sell well.

Not that the book sucked and that no one wanted to read through his blatherings...instead, it is decided that big, bad corporate America hatched some evil scheme to suppress his brilliant ideas.

Can you imagine Wolin at a party smoking a doobie?

Wolin: "Hey babe, I had a book with these great insights into how we are all dolts and big corporate America is squashing us and no one is doing anything about is because we all are so distracted by Oprah." I'm sure you can see the injustice in that."

Girl: "Uh, yeah, down with the man."

Wolin: "Hey, wanna' get laid?"

Bullshit Cluck.

Just like you can't handle the possibility that Reaganomics is failing, you're equally sure that fascism can't possibly arise from both sides of the political spectrum.

An observant but narrow minded individual encounters a pile of shit in the woods and simply avoids it and moves on. An observant and open minded person avoids stepping in it, but inspects the scat and the scene to determine if it might be a predator and which direction the predator might be coming from.

When you come across what you think is a pile of shit, you either step right in it or worse, put a little in your mouth just to see what it tastes like.

I read the article...and it wasn't a predator...it was shite from a bull. A lazy screwball bull who can't separate reality from his ass.

"Hollywood, the news industry and television, all corporate controlled, have become instruments of inverted totalitarianism. They censor or ridicule those who critique or challenge corporate structures and assumptions. They manipulate images to make us confuse how we are made to feel with knowledge, which is how Barack Obama became president. And the draconian internal control employed by the Department of Homeland Security, the military and the police over any form of popular dissent

Draconian? Draconian internal control employed by the DHS?

That guy is nuts! And later, in a separate paragraph, he went back and complained that people are waiting in security lines at airports. C'mon, did the TSA confiscate his bong?

Air America went into the toilet because people weren't listening...they don't like, and reject, the ideas coming from the far left. So the left, being a party of people incapable of taking responsibility for their actions, blames the right and you buy into it?

Oh, and this goes back to your core problem. Democracy means that people get to vote. Yup. Scary...since a lot of people are very good at making poor decisions. Once again, you don't agree with their decisions, so you want to protect people and warp reality and force some form of government and economics down their throat.

Funny, perhaps totalitarianism, in a veiled form, comes from people such as you.
