Now that everybody can agree on.Willie wrote:I like Manning too. But Brees deserves to have a helluva game. He beat the Viqueens, that alone is awesome in my book.
P.S. The Vikings still suck.

Are you kidding me? Manning is the biggest tool of all time. I really can't stand that douche. Call me a hater, that's fine.Grizalltheway wrote:Not to mention he isn't a giant tool like Brady. I am pulling for the Saints, but if I were going to put money on it...with the Colts giving 3.5...I'd still take the Colts.

Pretty much everything about him...you ever seen an athlete, celebrity, random person that you just don't like...for no reason, just don't? That's how I am with Peyton (and Eli and Archie). Mostly from his time in college when the sports media anointed him to be the greatest ever and he had never won shit. (Living in a a border state to TN, all we heard about was Peyton)Grizalltheway wrote:Really? What exactly makes him a tool?ASUMountaineer wrote:

At least, he finally got a SB (and before Eli), so it's more understandable now...the love affair with the Mannings'. But, I am so sick of trying to watch a football game and have to sit through 8mm film footage of the Manning family tossing the ball in the back yard...WGAF?

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
If they had kicked the FG the first time, they would have given Peyton the ball at his twenty or better, with over 1:30 left and three timeouts. Going for it gave them a shot at tying the game, and even if they didn't get it they knew they were probably getting the ball back at mid-field with enough time for another chance at a score.dbackjon wrote:Shoulda gone for the field goal
Going for it was the correct decision, but that was a questionable playcall for 4th & Goal at the 2. If I wanted to run the ball there, I wouldn't have tried a stretch play, especially not with the way the Colts had been getting angled penetration on outside runs the whole first half.

Saints have the lead... Manning, you better get serious.

Cell phones won't work where I live right now. Circuits are busy. Cant' reach my daughter. Can't reach my son who is staying at a hotel in the French Quarter. Was at Pat O'Caroll's to watch the game.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Where I live, in the Baton Rouge area, I just tried again and I'm still getting a "Network Busy" message when I try to call anybody on my cell. There's fireworks going off and such.
