White House mocks Palin
White House mocks Palin
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100209/ap_ ... se_palin_3
I'm not crazy about the White House getting bogged down in this kind of thing. And from a political standpoint, doesn't this almost validate Palin's relevance when it looked like she was losing it? Then again, maybe they want that for 2012.
Some good natured ribbing is not too out of line, I just see this as political snarkiness from an administration that I thought was above it.
What say yous?

I think it was addressed in here....
....and I agree - he's the Prez's mouthpiece, and should have been more professional than that.

Re: White House mocks Palin
The White House should have taken the high road. But you raise a good point, maybe they want Palin to be relevant. It certainly looks to me like she is trying to position herself for a Presidential run in 2012. I don't think there is any chance that she wins, but she could mess things up for the GOP.mcveyrl wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100209/ap_ ... se_palin_3

Re: White House mocks Palin
They, like a large portion of their political allies, are needlessly afraid of Sarah Palin.
Then again, Obama has taken something of a populist tack over the last several weeks, so maybe they believe in the power of populism and are therefore also sensitive to it.
Personally, I like the idea of the Obama crowd getting into this kind of pissing match with the Palinites. They are all going to look like little children and people like Mitt Romney are going to appear sage and mature in comparison.

But I thought they WERE better than us - did I miss something?Palin is an idiot, don't get me wrong. But if this is "leading my example", then I'll pack the car for Canada.
Maybe I'm just paying more attention these days, but I don't recall feeling less confident about the political process and our immediate political or economic prospects based on the leadership demonstrated over the last several years. The bickering and partisanship seem to be at historic highs - if the folks in office and their future challengers are the most qualified we have to offer, we're freakin' doomed.

I'm waiting for a politician to put their talking points on one of those notecard things that is built into a wristband, like quarterbacks wear.

They could make it work like a flow-chart decision matrix, with real-time polling data fed into the armband. Their next answer depends on the public's response to the LAST answer.
