From the way that ODU fans talk we might as well not play the UNI/ODU game. They are clearly much much better than this top 25 UNI team. They keep bringing up how the beat a Bradley team in the CIT last year that finished 17-16, lost to UNI three times, Drake twice last year.
They are 18 deep that can put 20 up a game, and they are all like 9 feet tall.
I don't understand this East Cost superiority thing that every team east of Indiana has.
Bracketbusters will be announced today

I've seen enough UNI to know this isn't going to be close
UNI by 10
15 if Shrek was playing

They don't believe Jordan is even 7'. He is actually 7'1''. I played against him in high school and have saw him messured. Why he is only listed at 7' this year as oppsed to 7'1'' like his first three years I don't know.
Apparently we have no size, and what size we have is fat corn fed Iowa boys that can't run. I think Siena said the same thing, we then hung 82 on them. We only have 1 starter from the state of Iowa, a 6' 180lb Ali Farokmenesh, the only other Iowan that will see a lot of time is Kerwin. Lucas and Johnny are fromI Illinois, the Kochs are Wiconsin, Kwadzo and Sonnen are from Tartan HS in Minneapolis, Anthony James is from St. Louis. It is funny.
I know Iowa fans and MVC fans call us NIU because it ticks some people off but they really think it is NIU and not UNI.
They think we don't respect them because there isn't a Next Up: ODU thread on Panther nation. The Next Up: threads are usually a 2 days before the game thing. Apparently we need to talk about them non stop.
They don't think we are a good 3 point shooting team...Yep, don't guard Ali, Johnny, or the Koch brothers behind the 3 point line...please, we are begging you. All we will do is prove you right. We aren't a good three point shooting team. We are a great 3 point shooting team that struggled for about 5 games.
They think we can't rebound because we have a low rebounds per game stat. However, as OBSF can attest to this we don't have many rebounds because there aren't many in games involving us. Very few posessions = very few rebounds
It really is funny

I know you get so few offensive boards, because there are so few to get.
They need to take a look at the deffensive rebound stats of teams that play you
Look at total rebound margin, all you need to know right there

Clenz-
Should be an interesting game, and too bad you guys are not at full strength. These sorts of games should have everyone that got them there.
We have not been too terrific away from home (except for Georgetown), so the optimism must be tempered. However, both teams seem to think they matchup well.
And for the record, some guy bet that Northern Iowa would win by two touchdowns, but has since disappeared when I offered to make that wager a little more meaningful.........all in good fun.
See you Friday.
