I'm looking forward to this season. I might catch a few of the games down here.

TXST - overall 74, OOC 15
sets us between 14 BYU and 16 Stanford - not bad

Game on in 9 days!!

Looks like UT-Arlington (SLC) has the best "FCS" OOC at # 2

Also seems the Big 12 is the highest rated conference because (I guess) they play in the Big 12?
Big XII OOC/overall
Baylor - 9/1
Colorado
Iowa State
no baseball?

Kansas - 77/19
Kansas State - 157/57
Missouri - 103/25
Nebraska - 165/51
Oklahoma - 102/42
Oklahoma State - 132/44
Texas - 58/20
Texas A&M - 33/9
Texas Tech - 46/11
Yet, only Baylor has a higher OOC rating than TXST or UTA.

One of our players, Kyle Livingstone (1b) will be keeping a journal throughout the season. Should be interesting to get the players' perspective. If you're interested:

LU opens at Kennesaw State, and then a tourney at UNCW. A mid weeker against VCU, and then our home opener against Delaware State. Couple of ACC games, couple of CAA games, not a very tough schedule. We need to take at least two from Coastal, take care of the rest of our business, and hope for solid conference RPI, and I think we can make the field as an at-large. Winthrop is in the same boat, with a tougher (but possibly more rewarding) schedule.

Fullerton, Oregon, Pepperdine and the Dirtbags open the weekend playing each other over a period of 4 days. Fullerton starts with Oregon, then Pepperdine, finally a non-conference game with the Dirtbags.

If Kennesaw State knew how to run their livestats, I could let you guys know how opening day is going for the Flames... HOWEVER, it's been stuck for 20 minutes. 2-1 LU at last check.

Doyle, how do you feel about your boys having only one game out of the state (pretty much out of the city) for the next couple months?

I understand why it is like that, and I think it can only give the young guys on the team confidence, but I can see how others might not like it too much.

GSU takes out some frustration on Tennessee Tech, 16-9. When our talented freshman mature, we are going to be damn good.

Won 6-3. We're starting a true freshman in LF. Using a true freshman as a DH and another at middle relief. Looking good all of 2 games into the season.

Fullerton was shut out by Pepperdine 6-0. I think we will drop out from the polls for the first time in several years. :(
