I thought this was the case the moment I watched the video. It really should come as no surprise.

No shit, and they probably consider themselves the "drivers of the economy" because their parents are loaded and they bought a Bimmer with their trust fund. :coffee:

I read the link and while I have no dog in this fight, aren't you misrepresenting what's in the blog? All it says is that these bums didn't "dress like a pimp" - but that doesn't change the conversations that were taped that got ACORN in trouble. These people aren't anything to be proud of by anybody, but you seem to be drawing much, much more from this blog than what it really there. 5% of the original story was false - that still leaves the other 95% there, plus that damning video.

I think that the blogs focus on whether or not the guy dressed like and/or represented himself as a pimp is fairly irrelevant. It seems to me like whether or not the core allegation as to whether or not some Acorn people provided advice with respect to engaging in deception is not reubtted by that article. Whether or not that is rebuted would debend on the totality of the transcripts they referenced. They provided a link about "transcripts" but then when you go to it there is only THEIR argument about what the transcripts show with some snippets of the transcripts. They claim that the transcripts show that they must pay taxes but when you go to the snippets they use it looks to me like they're just saying they have to establish a record of having paid taxes in order to enjoy some unidetified beneift. What they provide does not at all establish their assertions.

I should say that I never have made all that big a deal about the videotapes anyway. To me there was already plenty of reason for demanding that ACORN stop receiving taxpayer funds. It's pretty obviously a thoroughly corrupt organization that's consistently facilitated voter fraud designed to enhance the electoral prospects of one particular political party.

This is all smoke and mirrors to distract weak-minded folks from the truth. ACORN is a criminal syndicate whose foundation is minimally unethical and often (proven) criminal misuse of taxpayer funding for the purpose of facilitating voter fraud (including buying votes through community organizing projects like grant assistance to criminals). James O'Keefe did what L.E. wouldn't dare for risk of angering the always vindictive liberal pols in their communities. For that, the "in-your-face shout-down" liberals are trying to intimidate O'Keefe and his boss Andrew Breitbart through a smear campaign which includes labeling them as "racists" (surprise!). Problem is, there's a new conservative sheriff in town who won't be intimidated by the DU, Media Matters, Brad Friedman, Max Blumenthal liars, so there's going to be more fireworks as these scum are "brought to justice" over the next few years.

Here's a preview...

...Max Blumenthal (who accused James O'Keefe of being a racist, and was subsequently asked by his publisher to retract the accusation when he couldn't provide any facts to support his statement), ran into Andrew Breitbart at CPAC. Here's the confrontation:

I'm with Gannon on this one. How does this in any way change the basic substance of the video? It doesn't. I don't care, honestly. If it weren't ACORN on the left, it'd be some right wing group doing similarly despicable stuff. But, don't try to defend it with this weak-ass shit. It's kinda sad that this is the best that can be brought up to defend ACORN. Instead of making anyone with half a brain think better of them, it is even more damning.
Dear lord... please allow this dangerous combination of hair spary, bat slobber, and D.O.T. four automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body, provoking me to kick any man or woman in the back of the head regardless of what he or she has or has not done unto me. All my Best, Earlie Cuyler.

What is hardest of all to believe is that a frat boy dressed as a pimp actually had anybody believing he was really a pimp.

Seriously, I do not want to know where/how you found that photo.

But, it fits dbackjon's hose job of a thread perfectly. :thumb:
