CCU moves to 2-0 with a 13-5 win over Virginia Tech. CCU was down 5-0 after 2.5 innings. The coach's son, Chance had a grand slam to break a 5-5 tie.

CCU falls to 2-1 with a 3-2 loss to Kentucky. Ugly ugly game for CCU. The bats never woke up. CCU limited UK to 4 hits and UK committed 3 errors and we never took advantage of them. Multiple mistakes throughout the game.

Liberty swept Kennesaw State this weekend. None of the games were close. LU was just the better team. 3-0, tournament at UNCW up next, including games against Morehead and Lehigh. Any Lehigh fans, or rivals, with info on their team?

Fullerton finally won for the first time this season against the Dirtbags, 8-1. Next weekend's games are against TCU at home.

#22 UGA opens their season with a 2-2 split vs Duke and Baylor. Zach Cone went 11-16 over the four games and hit for the cycle in one. Lead off hitter Johnathan Taylor leads the team with 7 RBI. Not a terribly good start for the Dogs IMO.

JMU's season opener vs Marist was canceled.

TXST with the # 15 ranked OOC is 5-6
Losses are to
Texas 4-3
Baylor 3-2
Texas A&M 4-3
Rice 5-0
WKU 9-6
and one to TAMU-CC in a weekend SLC series
Penn State for a weekend series this week. I'm going to all 3. Finally

We lost big bats to the draft in June. Our pitching staff isn't doing badly, we just need to start hitting the ball where people aren't. The loss to UT shouldn't have happened. Took the starter out after 7 and that's when they got their runs. :ohno: Shades of last year's regional

With the exception of TAMUCC, our losses have all been to teams ranked in the RPI top 100.

Boyd's has El Cid at 17 and SLU at 16. Only issue I have is SOS. ElCid is 46th while SLU's is 106. TXST @ 8-6 has a SOS of 15 and RPI of 42 (started weekend @ 59). I know the RPI is looked at for at larges but does it really reflect how a team is playing/doing? I can't tell you if any of these teams is better than the other or any team rated below them.

Very confusing.

TXST/SLU series is gonna be fun this year

I was looking at Warren Nolan's streaks and statistics and LOL'd at the St. Joseph/ New Mexico State series. NMSU beat St. Joe's 33-1 in game 1, but lost 35-16 in game 4 to give St. Joe's its only win this season. WTF?

Well, let him know it looks like they have a pretty good team this year. Hope the hecklers weren't too hard on Creel. They get pretty drunk at Baggett.
