Dick Cheney Hospitalized

Post by Ibanez »

Cheney has a history of heart disease. He suffered the first of four heart attacks at age 37, and had eight "cardiac events" -- including surgeries to replace a pacemaker and to implant a vascular stent -- between the 2000 and 2008 elections.

No doubt he will be, as long as he doesn't come in to contact with direct sunllight.

There's a difference between direct democracy and representative democracy, no? You don't hate representative democracy, do you?

Dick Cheney is a very powerful dude. My first job was at the pharmacy he used/uses and you have no idea how much of a presence the guy had. Unlike Colin Powell (uses the same pharmacy) where customers would have "WOW THAT'S COLIN POWELL! AWESOME!" look, cutomers would have the "OH SHIT DON'T STARE DON'T TALK AND JUST WALK AWAY" fear when Dick Cheney was in the house. Also, the Starbucks in our community was probably his favorite spot 'cause my friends and I would saw him A LOT when I was in high school. It was a bit surprising considering that Starbucks attracted a lot of young liberal people. We had a girl (probably 16 or 17) shout out some shit to him about soldiers dying in the war, and you should've seen the death glare Cheney gave this gal before Secret Service told her to leave. Absolutely terrifying...the dude sure didn't take shit from nobody...I'll give him that.

There is a difference, but that isn't what Kalm said.

A Representative Democracy is better than a direct democracy for sure, but it's still not the best form of government.

We need "rough men" in all walks in this country. We need most of them on the streets at night and on the battlefields, but we also need a few of them in politics. Dick Cheney is one of our "rough men."

Really? He talks tough and is a savvy businessman and politician, but what has he done in life that would qualify him as a rough man?

Short primer on his history: Flunked out of Yale, finished up at Wyoming, got a DUI, applied and received five deferments from the Vietnam-era draft, became a Congressional intern leading to a career inside the beltway, started a few wars, and blew the cover of a CIA agent whose husband he didn't like (among many other shenanigans).

I said that he was a rough man politically speaking. Maybe I was not clear enough. I don't care about his DUI, Vietnam or the CIA thing (especially since I know that Plame's unnecessary cover (she was an analyst) had already been burned about two years earlier).

I don't care about those things just like I don't care if a soldier likes to be a cross-dresser in his off time, or a teacher has a DUI, or a governor screws around on his wife. They are still useful and so is Dick Cheney, and that is my opinion.

And he has a high school football stadium in Casper named after him, I guess because he was such a football stud.

Cheney is proof that even the most vile among us have a little good in them. He did shoot a lawyer in the face afterall.

As for the heart thing, that's just something he does every couple of years to get our hopes up.

And Cheyney wasn't the leaker of Plame's identity to begin with. It was Richard Armitage who leaked it to Bob Novak who then published that in his article.

Ummmm, he was convicted of obstruction of justice and perjury in the Grand Jury investigation of the CIA leak case involving Plame. Why was he willing to lie and go to jail for it?
