Germans have caught the USA in gold and are only two behind in medals.

USA women are headed to the hockey finals. There's one medal not yet showing on the board, and here's hoping it's ultimately gold instead of silver. :thumb:

Well then I guess we've got to root for the Canadian men's hockey team to beat Germany and keep them from winning a medal...

They have about as much chance of medaling as Canada does of winning the World Cup.

40-2. That's just sick. Here's hoping they seal the deal against Canada. :thumb:

In curling...( the crack addiction of the winter games) has anyone noticed the difference between the style of play between the men and women?? The women tend to block more and the men tend to bowl others out of the circles.

I am still no closer to getting the sport than I was a month ago. I hope I am not alone.

I stopped caring about style and rules after I watched the Danish women.

The men's curling team just lost to China and finished the Olympics at 2-7. They started off at 0-4, but could easily have been 3-1 had they not missed 4 different game winning shots in the first 4 games.

Sure, the Danish team has a semi-hottie, but if you're into MILF's you gotta love Canada.

I can think of at least one person who was probably happy about it...

Great hockey game going on right now. The Czech Republic scores 2 early goals on the way to what should be a blow out, but they haven't scored since. Latvia scores 2 third period goals, the second with just under 4 minutes left. The Latvian goalie has 44 saves at the moment.

Make that 46 saves, just over a minute left in regulation, still tied at 2.

The Czech's win 3-2 in OT. Great performance by Latvia, but the big upset was not to be.

Jaromir Jagr started the game, but left the game 50 seconds into the second period and never returned. I think it's gonna be real tough for the Czech's to beat Finland tomorrow.

Big day in hockey:

USA in the quarters vs Switzerland in a half hour and then the real biggie, Canada vs Russia, at 7:30 tonight.

Others: Fins v Czechs at 10 pm and Swedes v Slovaks at midnight.

The loser between Canada and Russia will not medal. :o It should be a great game tonight with a lot of drama. Both contries consider themselves to be the worlds best hockey power, the idea that at least one wil not medal is amazing.

I gotta admit I'm pulling for Russia. It's tough to beat the same team twice. I want Canada gone.
