and improve to 7-0 on the season ... first-ever sweep of an SEC school ... Lions come back twice from two-run deficits and snap 5-5 tie in the eighth with a steal of home.
excellent
Hey, where's that guy that dissed your team awhile back?
TXST faired poorly in the Baylor classic. Dropped all 3
Baylor 3-2
WKU - 4-3
TAMU - 6-2
Putting us at 3-3. Doesn't get any easier. Rice on Tuesday but TAMU-CC next weekend.
Our pitching ain't so bad but our hitting hasn't settled in yet.
Don't know where he's been lately, though his Cowboys (cough, cough) almost beat LSU last week.
The sweep is believed the be the first-ever for a Southland school against the SEC. A friend of mine who follows Northwestern State can't think of a time the Demons pulled it off and I'm pretty sure that McNeese and Nicholls (definite on that one) have never swept. The only possibility could be Louisiana-Monroe when they were in the conference and had Smoke Laval coaching them and some pretty good arms (Ben Sheets, etc.)
The losses to Baylor and A&M don't sting as much, but I don't like the loss to WKU (not a bad Sun Belt team, but ......)
With TH at the helm, the Cats will still be in the top three in the Southland. Glad the Bobcats (and UTSA, UTA and SHSU) are all coming to Hammond

Our toughest Southland series on the road might be against Lamar and we have to go to McNeese, AMCC and SFA, plus two games at Nicholls.
