Our lowest attendance in Wa Griz history will still put us right around EWU's record so I have no idea what you could possibly be basing your stats on.
Dude, ya been two pieced at every corner of this mafuckin' thing so give it up.

This would appear to me that the reason Fullerton got involved was because of 2 very bad calls that went against EWUUrsus A. I stayed late enough after the game and watched the refs drive away in cars with Montana plates.

specificly 2 plays are pointed out that went against EWU.Several plays were reviewed by the conference, its director of football officials Doug Toole, and independent observers. The league found two calls against Eastern Washington particularly troubling.
In the fourth quarter, an Eastern Washington player was called for a late hit out of bounds. The penalized player, however, was illegally blocked in the back by a Montana player, propelling him in to a Montana player out of bounds.
Late in the third quarter an Eastern Washington wide receiver was called for unsportsmanlike conduct as he slowed down on his way to the end zone. His actions, however, did not warrant the penalty.
Just putting an end to the revisionist history the grizidiots are trying to write.

Numbnuts, I pointed out those two and the other plays were not specifically against EWU according to that. I know I already posted on that because it is the specific article I went and quoted in my replies. If you have a better recollection of the other plays that were bad calls that went SPECIFICALLY against EWU then feel free to point them out. Where was there any revisionist history in what I have said? I'll be waiting on you for the bad calls just as I waited on eagle1 for them.cats2506 wrote:This would appear to me that the reason Fullerton got involved was because of 2 very bad calls that went against EWUUrsus A. Re: THE GRIZ REIGN IS OFFICIALLY OVER!
The good natured side of me would like to point out the reality that to an Eastern fan, everything about Montana Football is enviable - the stadium, the tradition, the BSC championships, NC's, and playoff success. Compared to Wa-Griz, Woodward has been a glorified high school stadium, and with the smallest athletics budget in the conference, and the competition from Wazzu, Idaho, GU, and UW, it's a miracle we've had any success at all. We're a directional college that was NAIA not that long ago and have no business being even remotely competitive with you guys.
But there in lies the problem. For anyone growing up in Spokane you are bound to become a fan of the underdog, whether it's GU's initial tournament run and willingness to play a muderous OOC schedule year in and year out, Wazzu's Rose Bowl run in '97 and string of ten win seasons with a similarly small athletics budget in the PAC-10, or the fact that the little college that could has the best opposing team record in the history of WGS.
We get kind of chippy about our David role.
So two points:
1) Blackfalkin's initial prediction is still an interesting one...and might come to fruition because...
2) After many years of hoping for the sake of the conference that the Griz remain in the Big Sky, and believing I would feel the same if I were a Griz fan, I'm beginning to think it's time you guys move up and try not winning national championships at the next level.

Re: THE GRIZ REIGN IS OFFICIALLY OVER!
There were crappy calls on both sides, and like we all know, just like injuries, you have to be good enough to overcome officiating. But for the record, the missed block in the back right in front of the ref would have given Nichols the ball back in a tie game with a couple of minutes left.cats2506 wrote:Ursus A. True dat. There's no shame in admitting the Griz stole one that game. If the new NCAA rule changes pass the other play would be called back and points taken off the board. BSC officials are in no way competent enough for the new rule change.

look you ain't getting it or didn't read what I already stated that those two call against EWU were bad calls. Fullerton made no further comment on the issue after that initial statement so there was no more said on it. The refs were bad as was already stated by me on that game and we had shit calls on us as well. The teams were close in penalty yardage. The statement I made on the calls that went against us was from being at the game and then watching it again the next day to see WTF the refs were seeing on ALL the shit calls they were making. There is no revisionist history if I, and others are saying that the calls were bad there slick.cats2506 wrote:Where is fullertons or the leauges statment saying anything about bad calls against um.Ursus A. After the game there were EWU fans bitching about Mariani "was out of bounds!", "Nichols clearly made that TD!" and all that shit is wrong and goes right along with the sour grapes whiny BS that you always hear from Cat Fans.

Well when the new rule changes pass then what will that have to do with the historical calls? Is this thing gonna be retroactive? That's gonna be fine because once that happens we have a pocket full of retro challenges as well.cats2506 wrote:If the new NCAA rule changes pass the other play would be called back and points taken off the board. Hopefully the new rule makes you feel better about it all.

Re: THE GRIZ REIGN IS OFFICIALLY OVER!
I think what you are missing is that there are bad calls in every game, but the leauge(s) dont issue press releases about them, but in this case they did and what they said was "The league found two calls against Eastern Washington particularly troubling." the didnt say that they found "calls against both teams that were particularly troubling". You seem to put it off that the leauge said that, when they didnt. The FACT is that EWU got screwed in that game and the leauge agreed. Im not saying that this is some kind on Montana conspericy, my personal feeling is that BSC refs are not biased, just incompetent.Ursus A. Oh, and the argument that if I wasnt there to see the game live i really shouldnt comment on it, is really a weak argument. Why dont you take that argument up with the BSC head of officials since he commented on the officiating of the game without being "there"

I didn't say a thing about you not commenting on it because you weren't there. I said I was, and I watched it the next day because the reffing was terrible. I'm fucking sick of saying this same shit over to you several times but WTF is your point about the two calls the league found particularly disturbing? You're a special boy, but I am saying the exact same thing you are genius. The only caveat is that you want it to appear as if it all the bad calls were only on EWU and that is a good one for anybody that's watched a reasonable amount of football. They got the points on the bad call anyway because it was on a TD.
Is anything you're whining about here gonna change the fact that we won it?

Oh, cry me a frickin' river. Before this year, Idaho's last 4 stellar years went something like this: 2-9, 4-8, 1-11, 2-10. WSU's last 4 years have been 6-6, 5-7, 2-11 and 1-11. Gonzaga doesn't even PLAY football.kalm wrote:and with the smallest athletics budget in the conference, and the competition from Wazzu, Idaho, GU, and UW, it's a miracle we've had any success at all.
We could ALL use some "competition" like that.

#1. Ursus, they have you by the balls, The Conf heads dont issue a release for 'bad calls', they MUST feel EWU really won the game & the officials GAVE it to the home team. If you are a real man you would concede defeat.Ursus A. #2. All I've stated is 'THE GRIZ REIGN IS OFFICIALLY OVER!', now why would so many griz BWH be so upset by that? Maybe because DEEP DOWN IN YOUR HEART of HEARTS you know that it is a strong possibility.
