Rematch of ODU/VCU, this time in Norfolk. The best rivalry in the CAA and in Virginia. Cannot wait!
VCU is becoming famous for its genetic research. In this photo, you are witnessing an attempt to cross-breed a frisky Chihuahua with a Great Dane.
Unfortunately, this experiment was a complete and utter failure. The offspring was not viable, and had to be euthanized. The following photo is extremely disturbing, but stands as a reminder of what terrible consequences can occur when we mess with nature's plan.

Forgive me Jay...
Does Opie on the left have his smedium white t-shirt tucked into his Wranglers?
I'm not going to try to defend those students, because they only further that stereotype about Iowan's. I have no idea who they are, so I can't comment if they do that all the time. However, I'm sure they do.
They are probably from a tiny ass farm town in Iowa, that kind of thing happens a lot there.

Nice round about way to agree with me.
My punctuation in that post was terrible. Much worse than usualy.
Frank Hassell deserved to be joked about such an ignorant comment.
That sign was pretty funny, and the two kids holding up were nowhere near the strangest sites to be seen in Cedar Falls that evening. The kid painted all white wearing a tutu and twirling during free throws was about as bizarre a demonstration as I have witnessed at a college BB game.

I think I see him on the right side of the painting.

A Geisha Dead Head?
Wrong....I'll find a picture of him and post him. It may be from our gold out though when he pulled a speedo for an outfit.

Here are a couple articles for you to gander at regarding our crowd
I think anyone who's gone to a VCU/ODU game at either the Siegel or the Ted can attest to it being one the greatest basketball rivalries in the country, and 100x better than VT/UVA which I've been to more than a few times. This is one of the best kept rivalry secrets for sure. I've been at ODU for three years and each arena has sold out 3 times (6 times total between the two) for this game, and it's as loud as either arena ever gets.

73-70 Monarchs. Clinch the regular season championship on its home court vs its most hated rival. As evidenced by the play on the court, if the Great Dane (sanders) had half the heart and fight as the pesky Chihuahua (rodriquez), the outcome of this game and VCU's #5 seed could have been vastly different.
