And therefore will not be seeking reelection.
Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) will not seek re-election after only one term in office.

According to several House aides – on both sides of the aisle – the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that Massa, who is married with two children, sexually harassed a male staffer.

Massa told POLITICO early Wednesday afternoon that no one has brought allegations of misconduct to him.

He's not running for re-election because he is dying of cancer. While the sexual harassment accusation may someday be proven to be true, it is as of now just an accusation. Furthermore, sexual harassment isn't as simple as to suggest Rep. Massa was making sexual moves on a male employee. Sexual Harassment can include:

# discussing sexual activities;
# telling off-color jokes;
# unnecessary touching; (95% of baseball players have been sexually harassed by coaches :rofl: :rofl: )
# commenting on physical attributes;
# displaying sexually suggestive pictures;
# using demeaning or inappropriate terms, such as "Babe";
# using indecent gestures;
# using crude and offensive language

For what its worth, in his statement today, Massa said "I made my statement. The allegations are totally false. I'm a salty old sailor. That's that."

Did Massa sexually harass a male employee? Maybe... probably, but does that mean he made sexual advances towards him? No. Should Massa be reprimanded if the allegations are true? Yes. Should he resign? Probably. Do I buy his denial? The way I read into it he was admitting he says stuff he probably shouldn't and that may have led to the accusation of sexual harassment, that of course doesn't mean he went up to the staffer and said "give me a blowjob or get out" it could have been a joke that was overly sexual that caused the complaint. So I wouldn't say I am buying his denial.

As for my actions if it were a republican. I am a democrat, it isn't my responsibility to defend republicans, nor is a republicans job on here to defend a democrat.

You don't need to defend democrats either. Both sides are full of fucking perverted assholes that doesn't actually give a shit about anyone except their pocketbook and the pocket book of their largest financial supporters.

It's partisanship bullshit like this that is the reason the country is going down the fucking shitter faster than any thing. If someone fucks up, don't fucking defend them just because they are a fucking democrat/republican and then bash another person just because they are they other.

Partisan ignorance is just as bad as racial or sexual orientation ignorance.

This goes for both sides. I'm getting sick of both sides doing shit like this....and on this site tman, d1b, cap, kyjellyeater, hounddawg and you (unh) are the worst at it. It doesn't matter how bad your side fucks up, it is ok because they are on your side. It's all fucking bullshit, and the reason I stay out of politics...both here and in real life

I don't see why this is news at all.

Heck, Barney Frank has managed to strengthen his hold on his congressional seat, sit in congress for 30 years or so, and even chair the House Financial Services Committee (which means he has me by the balls- pun intended) despite having paid a male prostitute for sex and subsequently hiring him as his personal assistant while the male prostitute used Frank's Washington apartment as a base for prostitution.

If a member of the GOP had done the same thing the MSM would have crucified him and that person would have been forced to resign in disgrace.

True, and not fair to some of them. It just seems like the Republicans that get caught are always the ones that trumpet "family values" the loudest.
