Jesus Lord in Heaven is it about time for this. Glad that we've finally cut ties with Delhomme - now as long as we don't fuck it up and sign Vick, we're doing good.

I hate to wish bad things on people (because Jake seems like a pretty decent guy) but I agree this is overdue. I suspect Jon Fox isn't exactly feeling very comfortable right now either. Moore is better at this point than Delhomme, but he's not a franchise player by any stretch. The Panthers will likely struggle again this year if they have to rely solely on the run like last year.

Yup, and give Arizona the third round pick for Bouldin...make him play this year, then either let him walk or sign him long term. What I don't get is cutting Delhomme with so much money guaranteed...what's the point. I'm happy he's gone, but why not keep him as a backup? Seriously, McCown? Also, why let Kemoeatu walk...our DL is getting thin, so I imagine this will be a priority in the draft. Looks like the Panthers are re-building, which I suspect there will be very few moves before the draft. :ohno:

Just saw on ESPN's ticker that Carolina is looking into acquiring Vick from Philly.

Michael Vick is still a jackass. The Eagles took a chance on him and did him a favor, and Vick is telling people that he wants to play for Carolina. The Eagles own his rights and have not said that they are looking to move him. A normal person would have a little gratitude for the people that stuck their necks out for him, but not Vick.

The guy hasn't learned anything in the last couple of years. I hope that the Eagles get rid of him, or better yet he suffers a career ending injury.

Teams that want McNabb better be able to part with a first round pick or a slightly lower pick and a package of players. The Eagles won't be giving him away. There are too many teams that need a quarterback right now; perhaps the most in recent memory. The Eagles are in a great situation with three. They can afford to play the field and wait for the right offer for any one, or even two, of their QBs.

Maybe Pitt should sign him, they may need a starting QB very soon.

Yet another QB taking a trip on the Eagle-Ram train. First it was HOFer Norm Van Brocklin leaving the Rams to get Phillly the 1960 NFL Championship. I think Roman Gabriel may have done the same (don't quote me on that one). I believe Ron Jaworski became a Ram after leaving the Iggles. And now McNabb is rumoured to be headed to Horn-Town. Wow.

And you'll be recanting that real quick once Tebow has them in the Super Bowl.

Doubtful, especially as a tight end. Not in John Fox's system...tight ends are almost useless.

Yahoo! is reporting that Delhomme was "blindsided" by this move, and is having a public emotional breakdown. He's apparenly crying his head off right now....

Not really, but even in the 3rd or 4th round, it'd be a wasted pick. And, we don't have a need for him...which means, we'll probably draft him.
