Rematch of the '05 title game.

The all-or-nothing Griz haven't lost in the title game since 1995, when they lost @ Weber.
like I said on egriz, it just depends on which Griz team shows up. :ohno:

I watched most of the PSU-WSU game. WSU never really put PSU away until late in the game. PSU kept hanging around and I kind of expected them to pull the upset. It was an entertaining game nonetheless. Should be a good tournament final tomorrow.

Griz vs Weber...

Didn't we deal with this thread for half the football season?

I doubt this game will be as anti-climactic.

gonna be a fun game!!

wsu lost that title game to um at portland state. before that wsu lost a title game at bozeman in 1996 and before that in 1977 at idaho state. 1996 was the last time 3 big sky teams won 20 games til this year.

weber has only hosted once and lost the title game; 1976, the first ever big sky tourney, also before the Dee was built in 1977. at the Dee was is 6-0 in title games.

too much weber vs griz lately lol but if i had my pick for a title game for wsu i'd want wsu to play psu or um.

bball
UM was picked to finish #2 by the coaches/media poll for bball the last 4 yrs; wsu has been picked 6th, 1st, 5th, 1st and have won 3 of last 4 regular season titles.

wsu has 19 big sky bball titles.
um has i think 17? fball titles?

fball
2009 um finished 1st; wsu 2nd (polls um 1, wsu 2)
2008 wsu and um tied as conf champs but wsu got the autobid (poll um 1, wsu dont remember)

Nah, just wanted UNC to win at something :D
Well at least the UNC players and coaches are blaming the reffing for the loss. Way to stay classy Bears..act like you have been there before...oh wait, you haven't..

The key for Weber should be defensive rebounding. In two Big Sky Tournament games thus far, the Griz have won second-chance points 40-11.

8 minutes gone and its only 11-4 WSU. UGLY game so far. If WSU could hit their FT's they would have a 15 point lead.

UM seems to get called for a foul every time WSU drives to the hoop.

Griz make a few buckets and suddenly their great defense gives up 3 straight layups/dunks.

WOW WSU's Hughey just went coast to coast off of a rebound and made an effortless layup. UM just kind of stood around and watched him...I looked over to my right to see if the UM defenders were sitting next to me. Good thing for me they aren't, I don't have enough beer to go around.

The wheels are coming off for UM. WSU can put it away right here. A UM player battling in the post just threw down a WSU defender for an offensive foul.

Griz are shitting the bed in another title game. Glad to see it's not just the football team.

I missed it. When I looked up I saw a WSU player on the floor. No idea if it was a flop or just a bad play by the UM player. 20-9 WSU with 7:30 left in the first.

24-9 WSU with 7 minutes left in the first. UM makes a block on the defensive end but WSU gets the loose ball and another layup. The following possession is an intercepted pass followed by a WSU layup in transition. Followed by a UM turnover off of a timeout.

I haven't watched many WSU games this year but they are completely destroying UM off the dribble. 30-13 with 4:50 left in the first.

40-20 WSU at half. UM will need a miracle to get back in this one. They may as well just hop on the bus and head back to Montana. WSU is dominating all aspects of the game. Poor shooting by UM is only making things worse. In UM's defense, the refs have been calling almost everything on them. The refs will need to call more fouls on WSU to even things out...probably won't even matter though.
