Tiger to return to the Masters
Re: Tiger to return to the Masters
Letterman had a couple of nuggets tonight (paraphrasing):
Tiger Woods is eager to get another green jacket. He left the last one in a hotel room in Vegas.
Tiger Woods is getting back to what he does best. He's also going to play golf again.

Make sure to check out the Augusta-area Denny's, Perkins & Waffle House restaurants, with Tiger back on the tour that's where the real action will be!

Re: Tiger to return to the Masters
I remember hearing him say "Hey Asshole....shut up" to a photographer or bystander during a golf tourney that was on the air in, say, June of 2009.Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:Good for him, I hope he doesn't change a god damn thing. His demeanor on the course is rooted in passion for the game and he may be a little too passionate once in a while but even if a kid were to hear a swear word once in a while it ain't gonna affect em' one bit. Does any of that stuff get out over the air anyway?

Speaking of Tiger - I missed this last week when I was in Europe, but did anyone hear the Tiger Wooods' Mistress Beauty Pagent on Howard Stern?

Re: Tiger to return to the Masters
I happened to be watching ESPN during one of the rare moments that they were covering this story
and they showed part of an interview with another golfer (I forget which one) and he said that he forgives Tiger.
Forgive him for what? The way I see it, Tiger owes and apology to his wife and family, and maybe his neighbors for any inconvenience caused to them. I don't see why Tiger owes an apology to other golfers on the PGA tour.

Re: Tiger to return to the Masters
The only way I could rationalize it is that Tiger has been a boon to the PGA since he joined the tour. Viewership is up, advertising has been up, prize money has been up, and they've all had the opportunity to benefit from it. The game without Tiger reduces the size of the pie for everybody, but I'm not sure he owes an apology to anyone for it - I'm pretty certain based on what I've read that he's pretty much a douchebag on tour, but I doubt he's the only one. They should be thanking him arguably for getting people interested in watching and playing golf again IMHO.BlueHen86 wrote:I happened to be watching ESPN during one of the rare moments that they were covering this storyand they showed part of an interview with another golfer (I forget which one) and he said that he forgives Tiger.

Re: Tiger to return to the Masters
The last line is the key there G8. Tiger owing the public or other golfers an apology would be akin to saying that if you were in a bar buying your buddies round after round and then you had to step out for an hour and they had to do for themselves for that hour that you would owe them and apology. Anyone that thinks that is an absolute fucking retard.ASUG8 wrote:The only way I could rationalize it is that Tiger has been a boon to the PGA since he joined the tour. Agreed. Thought the show sucked last year. Amy really brought it down when she was trying to be like Micheal Scott. This season she rounded out here character a lot and its much better.danefan wrote:OT, but that show has gotten progressively better every week. Agreed. For the record, Jesper wasn't the golfer I was speaking of earlier.BDKJMU wrote:True, with the exception of this one:BlueHen86 wrote:I happened to be watching ESPN during one of the rare moments that they were covering this storyand they showed part of an interview with another golfer (I forget which one) and he said that he forgives Tiger.

I think they should keep out all women who would grade higher than a 6 on a scale of 1 - 10. Cut down on distractions!T-Dog wrote:I remember it being said that Augusta National has an insane tight grip on what media could be there and the crowds are traditional golf fans so the media circus and the crowd circus will be much more tame than any other tournament.
I'm glad he's coming back. Couldn't give less of a **** about who he porked. That's between him, his friends, his family and his wife. Winning is one thing that can heal his PR face.

Yeah but that wouldn't help because he's an addict right? I mean if he's an addict then he's probably been fucking a lot of ugly chicks so this won't matter at all.VictorG wrote:I think they should keep out all women who would grade higher than a 6 on a scale of 1 - 10. I don't know, maybe if he was faced with ugly chicks he wouldn't have become an "addict"! I think there is a difference in his case.Ursus A. I wasn't rolling eyes at you VG, I was rolling them at the whole "sex addict" bullshit. Listening to the Ron & Fez show the other day and Ron said it's always a married person that goes for that sex addict shit. Single people don't have to have an excuse.VictorG wrote:I don't know, maybe if he was faced with ugly chicks he wouldn't have become an "addict"! I think there is a difference in his case.Ursus A. Have to agree about the sex addict thing. Hell, I'm a sex addict I guess. Even at my age it still occupies a lot of mind and my wifes too! She spend a great deal of time telling me to act my age on that subject!!!
Anyway, that's why I've always said Tiger should have never gotten married!!!!
