Re: 2010 NIT Thread
Tonight's NIT Results:
IL 76, Stony Brook 66.
Kent State 75, Tulsa 74.
Dayton 63, IL State 42.
Cincinnati 76, Weber State 62.
Memphis State 73, St. John's 71.
Ole Miss 84, Troy State 65.
VA Tech 81, Quinnipiac 61.
Nevada 74, Wichita State 70.
Rhode Island 76, Northwestern 64.
The egg Weber laid kills my whole NIT: I had Weber winning the whole thing. That said, I blew only five games so far. Not bad for a tournament this size. From what I've heard around the Internet today, that Memphis State win over St. John's may well be the game of the year so far, though I would suspect that the Kent State squeaker over Tulsa may give it a run for its money.

Re: 2010 NIT Thread
The bracket claims that games will be played tomorrow, but the site specifies 19-22 MAR only.
Second Round Games:
Friday 19 MAR:
Memphis State (24-9) @ Ole Miss (22-10).
Saturday 20 MAR:
North Carolina (17-16) @ MS State (24-11)
NC State (20-15) @ UAB (24-8)
Jacksonville (20-12) @ TX Tech (18-15)
Monday 22 MAR:
Nevada (21-12) @ Rhode Island (24-9)
UCONN (18-15) @ VA Tech (24-8)
IL (20-14) @ Kent State (24-9)
Dayton (21-12) @ Cincinnati (19-15)
Some interesting matchups and even more interesting locations that generally go according to seed EXCEPT for IL @ Kent State. I don't know if that was a typo on the NIT site, but it's definitely weird. Is there something going on @ IL that can't be rescheduled?

Nah. Just league loyalty plus application of knowledge from too far back to be of any real use today: Weber's win over the Heels.

Damn UCONN blew their lead vs. VA Tech. We would have had a home game with them if they'd won. Oh well, at least we're still playing basketball.

Hen: you waited more than a week to smack a guy who essentially smacked himself?
The Griz do a good enough job of throwing smack my way. If you can't keep up with them, then LAY OFF.
LOL.

Touche. Must have been looking at something else. Thought I saw an 8-day span. On second look, that does not exist.

Dayton defeats Ole Miss tonight to move to the NIT final on Thursday night! I hope that Rhode Island takes care of UNC. An all FCS and all A-10 NIT final would be great. The Flyers also would love to avenge that one point loss in Dayton this season while winning the championship!

Going now into OT. 59-all.
All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.
