If you had the same level of fiscal irresponsibility under Obama and the Democrat Congress and no Obamacare bill there would be no tea parties. But under Obama and a Democrat congress you have FAR greater fiscal irresponsibility. They have done the impossible- made Bush look fiscally responsible in comparison. A tripling of the debt, the 787 billion porkulus plan, continuing of the bailouts started in Bush's last couple of months in office, push for economy killing Cap and Tax. Most of all, the #1 reason for the Tea Parties is the push for economy killing Obamacare, a giant 2700 page turd which will wreck healthcare. The biggest bill that most of us have seen in our lifetime that the public is overwhelmingly against has motivated people like maybe nothing else could.

I have never been to a tea party gathering but I have e-mailed and called my congressman and senators politely voicing my displeasure with that 2700 page turd.

I call BS....I know you're right by the end of his term, but most of his spending is in the proposal stage. or is a carryover from Bush's budget. Where was this feigned outrage during RX drug plan? Bush's bank bailout? Tea parties were already raising hell before Obamacare but seemed to be conspicuously absent pre-Nov 2008. Look at the people funding the movement now & it's a who's who of RNC. While their outrage may be genuine, where they direct (& more importantly, NOT direct) their outrage is predictable & disengenous.
