so we simply need to examine the evidence - which leads us to: Republicans have no issues with spending trainloads of money (and they never have - see Reagan spending and deficit records) they simply say they do when the other guy is in office...

Results:
Liberals simply spend money on stuff Republicans disagree with... that's the only difference between the two parties if you care to use actual evidence and not just rhetoric and ideology

And you could change that statement to, "it's a historical fact that never has any President left office with a smaller budget" (dollar for dollar).

Maybe, it's hard to tell whether that large spike is more in Bush's term or more in Obama's term. It looks almost exactly in the middle to my eye.

Obviously you have a problem with reading comprehension. Go back and re read the part I bolded. Was talking simply about budget, not surplus/deficits. Reading is fundamental.
