Singer Does Porn Music Video?

Post by SuperHornet »

CBS-13 is reporting that singer Erykah Badu recently filmed a music video for her single "Window Seat" in which she strips naked at the spot where JFK was assassinated. Parents with young children watched in horror at the spectacle.

13 asked for comments on the legality of this. Personally, I acknowledge artistic license, but this goes a bit far. Not too long ago, a singer was naked on a commuter train for a video, but such things could be rented out to ensure that it's completely person-free. For something of this nature, technology exists so that the scene could be shot on a soundstage with a bluescreen. Or, one could rig screens to keep unauthorized personnel out. For me, to actually stage this in public with no screens up is indecent exposure at best, if not contributing to the delinquency of several minors. I don't like this at all. And that doesn't even begin to get into respect for the dead.

nudity does not automatically equal porn.

And I find it odd how people get worked up over the slightest nudity,
yet have no problem with all sorts of portrayals of violence and the like.
(for instance, I was watching "The Whole Nine Yards" on AMC the other night. They had no problem showing all the gunplay and murder, but they had to edit out the boobs and some of the cursing).
Seems odd to me.

Who the hell cares.... Also nudity is not porn-- you clearly have no idea what porn constitutes.

Wow...SH proves again how stupid it is...I don't know male/female so I'm going with it.

Nude doesn't mean porn. I know Wiki sucks but per wiki, and this follows the definition I was given in my Human Sexuality class

Pornography or porn is the portrayal of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual excitement and erotic satisfaction.

Pornography may use any of a variety of media, ranging from books, magazines, postcards, photos, sculpture, drawing, painting, animation, sound recording, film, video, or video game. However, when sexual acts are performed for a live audience, by definition, it is not pornography, as the term applies to the depiction of the act, rather than the act itself. Thus, portrayals such as sex shows and striptease are not classified as pornography.

SH should check out the latest video from Rammstein. He'd think Erykah Badu was a candidate for a convent after watching that.

I agree.

I think most parents want their kids to eventually grow up and have sex and have kids of their own.
I'm not sure how many parents want their kids to grow up and kill people.
