I think with the playoff expansion next year the Big South is picking up an auto as well. Once Presby gets out of transitional status, they'll have six D-I's in the conference anyway I think.

You have to have six teams together for two years. The Big South gets its autobid in 2010.

They also get theirs in 2010.

Having 6 teams together for 2 years doesn't guarantee an auto-bid, it just makes a conference eligible for one.

swac teams dont play in the playoffs either, not since 1997 i think. thats bullshit by the way, it should be open to all schools and they should cut down some of these cheaps ass conferences like the great west and the pioneer league. wtf?? its coast to coast for crying out loud!

The playoffs are open to the SWAC and IVY leagues. They choose not to play.
