SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, now we're at the root of the double standard
It's acceptable to suggest that left leaners leave the country to find a place to live that more suits their world view, but it is un-acceptable to ask anarchist to leave the country to seek out a locale that more suits their worldview.
Got it.
So now this Marine is an anarchist?
Wow....why do you hate America so much?

Capitalism is great, as long as taxpayers are available to involuntarily bail it out when, it fails.

You guys are so funny. The back and forth with the absolutist opinions. "Bailouts are bad". We chose to give the system a little juice to dampen the effects of this downturn (which is just a normal part of an inevitable cycle) and "Capitalism is as much a failure as Communism". Blah, blah, blah, blah. Z, no offense dude because I like most of your stuff, but you couldn't have handles a no bailout recession. Without the help from the feds this thing would have been much worse. Granted, the dems took advantage of the situation to stuff a few of their pet projects through, but stimulus needed to happen. But that in no way proves that capitalism as a whole is a failure. Only a complete moron would take that leap seriously.

That's almost a 12 pak of PBR...
Interesting trivia on PBR: in the last band I worked with, our fiddle/mandolin guy was from Germany and we'd have parties at his house when his parents came to visit. His dad was a BMW engineer and like most Germans takes his beer very seriously. He loves Pabst.
For a refreshing german-style summer drink mix a PBR and a Fresca together 50/50. They call it a "rottlers" and they're very good.

God damn you and your nuanced, in-depth discussion of issues that takes into account the viewpoint of both sides.

Don't anyone dare tell AZ, but I saw a disturbing number of people drinking Budweiser in Germany. But not Bud Light, thankfully.

Radlers are pretty popular in Austria, but they weren't really my thing.
I'm tired of listening to right wing nut jobs bitch about left wing nut jobs.
If America is turning into such an awful place, I suggest he get the **** out.
There are numerous 3rd world countries that have weak or non-existant central government, and where lawlessness and anarchy rule. Go forth, and find your happy place old man.

The Republicans didn't have the White House and BOTH houses for 6 of 8 years.
Senate from Jan 01' to May 01' and Jan 02'-Jan 06'.
Democrats controlled the Senate from May 01''-Jan 02' after Jim Jeffords left the Republican party.
So Republicans controlled all 3 for about 4 years, or 4 years and 4 months to be exact.
As far as the previous admin doing nothing to try to address "mortgage lending abuses", thats a crock of sh*t. They tried to rein in Fannie and Freddie, not the only but the biggest reasons for the housing crisis, but were blocked by the donks, led in part by "What Housing Bubble" Barney Fwank:

And tomorrow... however that will be - is fine too
And next year... same 'ol same 'ol fine and dandy
Yesterday... was excellent just the way it was
10 years ago was great too
I suppose I could live angry - you know - just mad at everybody else for whatever reason...

How can you just sit there and have a good day when there is a black muslim in the White House?

Forgot about that....my bad...I stand corrected on that issue.
Regarding the Mortgage mess....like you said, they controlled all 3 for 4yrs 4mos....what did they do during that time to address any of those issues? With all three 3 branches controlled for over half of the 8 yrs Bush was in office, why couldn't they use reconciliation to make the necessary changes the Donks were blocking them on? Especially considering the implications of not making those changes.....

So, what you're basically saying is that you've got your head so far up your own ass you can't see daylight and have NO idea what's been going on for the past 25 years and no concept of the implications for the next 25 years.

Reconciliation can only be used for matters pertaining to the budget.

Kind of... you're close
Here I'll explain:
Everything has implications somewhere, everything is a big deal to somebody, everything is a problem to somewhere, everything is a huge disappointment to somebody... blah blah blah
However:
It just so turns out most of it is really nothing
When the sky actually falls I'll deal with it - when Nazi's ride dinosaurs through main street I'll deal with that... but really - honestly - I have no control over 90% of what happens in my own life - much less what happens in the outside world...
so my emotional reaction to it is meaningless... Mostly my days are really enjoyable
and everyday is usually a pretty good day
