Anyone ever think that maybe the sharp increase in college tuition (439% increase since 1985) might be correlated to a greater amount of federal aid & gov't-backed loans made available to a larger cross-section of applicants during same time period? I couldn't find the data for the loans...anybody know the figures?
Kind of like dwellings, not everyone is meant to own one.

Yeah, like most government workers do.
It's not the role of government workers to manufacture things. That would indeed be socialism. Their role is to be a gigantic pain in the ass to people like me trying to run a business.

Still, banks representing a significant portion of the workforce and GDP ain't a good sign.
It's light years better than the massive amount of the GDP the government sucks up...

Well, let me put it in a manner that even simpletons like YOU can understand: Banks employ a FUCK of a lot of people. Obama never misses an opportunity to **** on the banking sector. NEVER. He did it again with this action. How many times can you go to that well before people start losing jobs because of it? He's taken away a significant portion of many, many financial institions' balance sheets with the stroke of a pen, while at the same time creating yet ANOTHER large, red-tape machine to keep the government coffers full. He's perpetuating the very problem (unemployment) he allegedly is attempting to solve!

And you SUPPORT that??? :ohno: :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:
Bankers are parasites who produce nothing. They move money from one pile to another and keep a little for themselves. :coffee:

Jeeze. AZGrizFan Obama is not going to export red tape. They can’t even produce enough to handle his domestic agenda!!!

Well Grizalltheway, Maybe you can fill us in on a few of the specifics of this great "export" plan. How is this going to work? I hope it is better than his "don't teach algebra until after the 8th grade" eduction plan.

Oops, Ol’ Obama missed this one, look who is closing the deal to sell 12 nuclear power plants to India!! See Putin smile.

Hysteria there, Baldy. This is something that should have happened years ago. Kudos to Congress and Obama for doing this - this will save the taxpayers money.
Oh yeah....those evil greeeeeeeddddddyyyyy lenders. Save the drama, Queen.

Privatized profits and socialized losses? Ummm, they are government BACKED loans. It's basically no different than what happens with Fannie and Freddie, so I guess you also support the Nationalization of the home mortgage industry, too? I mean the government already owns 1/2 of all mortgages now.

If you think this program is going to save money, you are only fooling yourself. It's the government and they only know how to spend our money. The Dept. of Education will now have to hire thousands of workers to oversee this "program", so there goes your "savings". Add to that the inefficiency of government and we lose money, big time.

As usual, bback bowing to the altar of big government and spitting in the face of freedom, BIG surprise there.

Why do you hate America so much?
