My heart is pulling for Butler, but my wallet is pulling for Duke. As effed up as my bracket is, if Duke wins (my pick for National Champions), I'd get second place in my pool which doubles the money I put in.

Anyways, CONGRATUFU(KINGLATIONS BUTLER! Good to see a kinda-small-program-but-not-really go up against Duke...who I hate.

but go blue devils!

As everyone knows, Milan High School's victory in the 1954 Indiana State High School Basketball Championship was the inspiration for the movie, "Hoosiers". Here is a photo of the trophy case at Milan High that commemorates their 1954 State Championship:

Go Butler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, you guys got the nerves out on Saturday. Duke seems to be hitting their stride. Let's hope the Indy fans are rooting hard and loud for the Bulldogs :thumb:

Forgive me, as I seem to be missing something....but why did you post this (other than the fact that Milan High is also in Indiana)?

They mentioned on the telecast on Saturday that the championship game in Hoosiers was filmed in Butler's arena.

Wow.

You must have been living in a cave in Siberia without a satellite dish or an internet connection for the past few weeks!

Goodness knows that I know the Milan/Hickory story inside and out, (And I've never even lived in Indiana) but story after story; article after article that has appeared in the printed media, online, and in the broadcast media has mentioned the Milan/Hickory/"Hoosiers" connection to Butler and Hinkle Fieldhouse.

It was slightly off-topic, but I assumed that anyone who has followed the NCAA Tournament story might find the photo interesting.

Those last two shots are going to stick with Hayward for the rest of his life. WTG Butler, epic run to almost win the national championship.
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.
