Re: W&M Mascots???
The Garbage Truck would be awesome. They could drive the team out of the locker room, and to the sidelines. Then they don't have to waste all that energy running out of the tunnel, and all the way down the sidelines. It could do donuts in the endzone as a TD celebration too. The horn would be an intimidation factor on big 3rd down defensive plays too. You really can't go wrong with the Garbage Truck.

To be accurate, the teams are and will still be known as the Tribe. The mascot is a griffin.DukeJack wrote:It's the William & Mary Griffins

Every time I see a Waste Management can/truck, I will now think of W&M. Great shit.

The end of that video is really sad.. Music skids to a halt "I'm sorry, mascot has to leave, it has a class, at mascot school, goodnight!" LMAO!!
Not the best mascot ever, not the worst, but looks pretty naked from the waste down

That's how the Griffin defined himself in the interview.

Re: W&M Mascots???
Considering the creepy child molester appearance of the new George Mason mascot, you guys hit a home run.
Not sure I understand the relationship to the name "tribe"; but admittedly, I never understood the political correctness issue surrounding the feathers and indian theme either.
Don't let the JMU mascot bully you as the new kid on the block, either. We have all seen what happens to that dopey dog when other mascots decide to stand up for themselves..........

Wait...you're still the tribe, but you are going with a Griffin for a mascot?
Why not just use fucking man-bear-pig

Not so fast. W&M's was obviously done tongue in cheek but every indication is that "Hot, Hot, Hot!!!" was dead, fucking serious.∞∞∞ wrote:move aside "Hot! Hot! Hot!," there's a new kid in town!

I think the below 'Griffin' is more appropriate...

Re: W&M Mascots???
That's the thing, it wasn't meant to be serious. It was misreported as an official recruiting video. It was a parody video for the Chancellors Spring Breakfast tour that someone got their hands on.93henfan wrote:Not so fast. Re: W&M Mascots???
Come on now. I'm willing to believe that it was never intended to be App's official promotional video, but it's clearly not parody. It was a well-intentioned, light-hearted video meant for a sympathetic, App-friendly audience. I'll buy that. It's like when someone sings at a karaoke bar in front of 20 people and receives polite applause for one of the better performances of the night, but then someone broadcasts a video of that performance on national TV and everyone laughs at the hillbillies who think that's great singing. What was actually a reasonably decent performance in the context of one venue was completely humiliating when it was replayed where it wasn't intended. This is understandable.T-Dog wrote:That's the thing, it wasn't meant to be serious. It was misreported as an official recruiting video. But it's still too damn funny to let it go, sorry.
