Your poll is ok, I've seen better ones.
Weber and NAU too low.

It's interesting that a UNI team is ranked so many spots ahead of a Saluki team that beat them in almost everyone's poll.

So am I right in thinking that UNH is ranked to high?

No you didn't have a meeting because I am the board on this one and I told you that you are wrong. And as far as what they've done that's easy man, they've won some games and shit.grizzaholic wrote:

Re: Ursus lays down HIS top 25 for this week
Not a bad list, Ursus...I realize this is a lot of hard work. Kudos. Here's my tweaks.
1. James Madison
2. Appalachian St.
3. Wofford
4. Weber St.
5. Northern Iowa
6. Villanova
7. Southern Illinois
8. Cal Poly
9. New Hampshire
10. Richmond
11. Elon
12. Montana
13. Central Arkansas
14. Western Illinois
15. William & Mary
16. Furman
17. Lafayette
18. Massachusetts
19. Liberty
20. Northern Arizona
21. McNeese St.
22. Harvard
23. Georgia Southern
24. Tennessee-Martin
25. South Dakota St.
Weber, W&M, Villanova, UNI climb; Richmond, Montana, Cal Poly, and Mass drop; Leathernecks and UTM, will either climb rapidly or get put out to pasture - next two games will make or break them; GSU replaces S.Carolina on strength.
Dback's right about Weber...watched the game...other than some safety blitzes and a few small breaches on OL (which isn't difficult consider NAU's DL), Weber showed their stuff. Passing, speed, athleticism, toughness, execution...it was all there. JMU's still got the advantage, but teams #2-5 can take it if the wind blows their direction.
Sorry, gents. No favorites here, just business.

Glad you got to watch it. It is being replayed tomorrow, taping it to rewatch some areas.travelinman67 wrote:Dback's right about Weber...watched the game...other than some safety blitzes and a few small breaches on OL (which isn't difficult consider NAU's DL), Weber showed their stuff. replayed on bigskytv? That would be cool because I was very drunk after the Griz game and well...didn't catch it.dbackjon wrote:Glad you got to watch it. Got to see it and the PSU game on BigSkyTV streaming. Either Comcast or their ISP belched just after halftime, lost feed for about 20min., but saw the rest of the game. Weber's D was letting Williams find the seam, which they need to fix, but otherwise, they were very impressive from both sides of the ball. Great camera work and broadcast from the NAU site crew though. Very impressed. Many thanks to NAU and BigSkyTV for their free feed.dbackjon wrote:Glad you got to watch it. BTW, tried to get the Poly/SUU feed...Cal Poly uses CBS sportsnews...advertised as one time $9.95 charge (or option to $19.95/mos or $195/annual auto-recurring debit charge), but every time you selected the $9.95 option and went to pay, it switched to the $195/recurring annual option...no way to override it. Out of curiosity, before posting the charge, I checked their instructions for "cancelling" the recurring debit...the "Cancel" link attempted to load a Windows media app. Chose not to sign up...seems suspiciously like a sneaky way to screw people...CBS sportsnews...who'd a thunk...
So, fv(k CBS sportsnews...I listened to it via a radio station for free. Glad I did though...learned a lot about Poly this year.

I was FN with you dback. Although I'm sure it's probably not that tough to turn a digitally captured file into a torrent I wouldn't know how to do it either.dbackjon wrote:

Once again Ursus puts together a fairly unbiased top 25.

Re: Ursus lays down HIS top 25 for this week
Thanks Grizza and others. Col. torrents are one of the coolest things I've ever used. If you had a UMass game converted to a file on your computer and you upped it as a file for others to download the a few people that want it would DL it from you and it comes in as little tiny pieces and that way the 2nd 3rd and 4th....all have different little chunks and they start to trade among each other as well. The program reassembles the file while the pieces are coming in but it can come in in whatever form so it doesn't matter. Once 4 or 5 people have completely downloaded your file and they start seeding it as well you could DL a the full game in about 5-15 minutes depending on how much throttle (kbps) you want it to DL at. There are a lot of unknown bands that put their music up for free DL's to see what people think of it.
