We were discussing whether there had been an effective political-military stategy since 1955. Cid1990's post implied that there had been several effective military strategies since 1955, but no effective political-military ones. I responded that Reagan's strategy against the Soviet Union was fairly effective in accomplishing the goals they set forth, and it was most definitely a political-military strategy. I in no way implied and anyone with two neurons to rub together would never read into what I said that in any way shape or form was it an endorsement of using said strategy in any situation we find ourselves in today.
