You wouldn't recognize my system of government if it bit you in the ass. It gave rise to the longest period of sustained growth and strongest middle class the world has ever seen. It's the square deal, white picket fence, little pink houses, mixed economy enjoyed by the Greatest Generation. It's called America and it's history predates 1980. :thumb:
Actually, that's called WWII. You know, that war that left Europe and most of Asia in rubble. That war that left only one industrialized country standing.
WWII played a role, but it was also costly for the U.S. including the money we spent re-building Europe. Public works projects played a significant role as well.

"WWII played a role"?

Ya' think?

kalm, your version of America could not have happened without WWII. If there is no one left standing, you can spend and produce all you want...and you can certainly afford public works...there simply is no one left to challenge your economic power. Heck, there were huge businesses that built entire towns for their workers...hey, those were fantastic "public works" for the little guy.

Funny, you talk about a progressive economic policy, yet the only past example you can mainfest is a world that was a direct result of an American monopoly that lasted for generations.

kalm for President! He'll blow everyone else in the world to smithereens and then show you how to set up some public works.
These signatures have a 500 character limit?

What if I have more personalities than that?

Yes, the good old days when we manufactured everything here and helped fund the government through tariffs.
