A few more updates made this weekend...http://biy.ly/2010coach" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Iowa St. and Rutgers are the last of the "BCS" conference schools looking for coaches.

The McDouchebag to Creighton thing is about to get real fucking messy with UNI.

Rumors are now flying that Greg's son, whom has been committed to UNI since October and has a signed LOI, wants out to go to Creighton to play for his dad...even though he turned that option down when his dad was at Iowa State.

This is a fucking mess right now.

Say's the person who doesn't follow basketball.

This goes past McDouche taking the Creighton job. First UNI was his dream job and was a true Panther, then Iowa State was his dream job...that means he has left 2 dream jobs. Not only that he has now said publicly his son is coming with him, not normally a big deal, except Doug is under scholarship at UNI and at the time Greg said that Doug hadn't asked for his release from UNI yet.

True. But I know more about the UNI fan reaction to the situation than you knew about Sicko's NFL decision situation.
We're both allowed to have our reactions.

It is being reported in Charleston that The Citadel will hold a presser on Tuesday to announce the hiring of Chuck Driesell as the new basketball head coach.

Old news ;) My source told me that on Friday night (posted at http://twitter.com/ncaasports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

I like the move but Chuck will need to focus on a system that works since recruiting won't be as much of an option at the Citadel.

Iowa State acts quickly to fill the void left by McDouche by hiring former stand out Fred "The Mayor" Hoiberg

aren't there mvc rules about transfering between conference schools that will cost him 2 years of eligibility?

Big PR dilema for UNI. If the kid asks for his release, they better give it to him. I wouldn't want to be out there recruiting and have other recruiters tell kids about how UNI wouldn't let a kid go so he could go play for his DAD.

Under regular normal circumstances I would agree with you, but man, the kid has a chance to play for his DAD, that's a whole different deal entirely.

Does it still suck to leave UNI with a hole? Absofuckinloutely it sucks. But this is a family thing waaay more than a basketball thing.

Actually, it was already on this thread, in the first post. But that's just a running tab so you probably didn't see it there.

Should be a good place for Chuck to start. If he's over .500, he'll instantly get good coaching credit.

There are rules but Coach Jacobson and AD Dannen waived that clause.

I don't buy the "he gets to play for his daddy" shit, he had that chance at Iowa State.

Comical that that information is posted on Georgetown's blog page consider Old Dominion added "L's" to both Georgetown and Notre Dame this year, none of which were in Norfolk.

Seriously, GU gets props for scheduling a tough OOC opponent every year, and Brey did the best he could with less than a full slate of talent.

Watch out with Scruggs...you've been warned. He is a bully, plain and simple. He won't last in Boone.
