Will someone tell me why this is a "holy balls of steel" thread? The guy/gal had a padded suit on and on top of that had a huge padded mat at the bottom.

I doubt that suit is really all that padded...

I don't know...
* fall forward/sideways onto the unpadded floor
* hit the top of the backboard
* impale yourself on the rim
* get an arm hung up in the rim
* misjudge a 15 ft+ jump and miss the pad on the backside

all in front of 20k people live. No biggie - I'm sure you have better of yourself. :coffee:

I am not saying I would do that. NOT a chance.

Kinda why it seems pretty ballsy. Hell just getting up on the top of that ladder would take a decent amount of nutitude.

Are you scared of heights or something? Climbing a ladder or wall or whatever, big deal. Doing a backflip off of it takes either guts or balls but not balls of steel IMO.

Done more than my share of ladder work and roof work on steep pitches from the time I was 12 up through last summer. No real problem with heights to speak of. You can say big deal all you want but standing on top of the ladder like that takes little sack but then jumping off the top and doing the flip toward the basket is real fucking ballsy. You take exception to the balls of steel part...fair enough.

Based on the title, I was assuming he would rack himself on the rim...

What if it was a lady in the mascot costume? Would it be titled "vagina of steel"?

You're right...

Jon, Chris, Willie - retitle this to "Moderately cool asexual deer mascot jumps off a ladder onto a pad in front of some people but any of us could do it".

Thanks. :coffee:
