Major Christian Group calls for deportation of all Muslims

Post by dbackjon »

he American Family Association's Director of Issues Analysis, the detestable Bryan Fischer, has penned another one of his intolerable policy recommendations. Fischer suggests that the US deport all Muslims. If we fail in our efforts, he writes, "it may soon be too late to save what is left of American culture."

http://mediamattersaction.org/blog/201004090002" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

First, the most compassionate thing we can do for Americans is to bring a halt to the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This will protect our national security and preserve our national identity, culture, ideals and values. Muslims, by custom and religion, are simply unwilling to integrate into cultures with Western values and it is folly to pretend otherwise. In fact, they remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes.

The most compassionate thing we can do for Muslims who have already immigrated here is to help repatriate them back to Muslim countries, where they can live in a culture which shares their values, a place where they can once again be at home, surrounded by people who cherish their deeply held ideals. Why force them to chafe against the freedom, liberty and civil rights we cherish in the West?

In other words, simple Judeo-Christian compassion dictates a restriction and repatriation policy with regard to Muslim immigration into the U.S.

The AFA is a major player in the Republican Party - when they talk, the party listens.

Great job!!

BUT...

Those who are willing to convert to Christianity and renounce Islam, Allah, Mohammed and the Koran may be welcomed, for they can become not just good Christians but true Americans.

Jon, you're starting to post like Travis. Splatter the headlines and hope some of it sticks.

"AFA Journal, a monthly publication with a circulation of 180,000" Wow, that's almost as much as Martha Stewart Weddings magazine.

The American Family Association has MAJOR influence on the Republican Party - especially the southern Senators/Reps. You can be dismissive on this, but Tony Randolph/and the Widmons have a lot of influence on Capitol Hill, and an army of followers that churn out emails, calls, etc to inundate legislaturors, who pay attention to them.

There is certainly room for faithful muslims in the United States of America, d, but you should take an honest historical look at how the mainstream tenets of the religion, including sharia law, are used in stages over generations to coerce, marginalize, disempower and subjugate non-muslims as the muslim population percentage increases in a country.

Christians, if given the power would be doing the same shit, like they did when they had the power. I just take issue with Z fallaciously implying that there's a choice in this debate. There aint, period. Both are fucking ridiculous and have no place in a free society.

Wrong, d! Unlike muslims, Christians fought several wars amongst each other to establish the right to worship freely, worship differently, and live in peace while doing so. Islam has never had a Reformation.

The Reformation took place in what, the 16th and 17th centuries? Which means it took over 1600 years after the time of Christ for Christians to acquire such "rights to worship freely". (although one could easily argue that there is still fighting amongst the different sects of Christianity).

Muhammad lived around roughly 700 AD, so 1600 years from that would put the Islamic reformation around 2300.
Though there are already different sects of Islam that squabble amongst each other just as much as the Catholics and Protestants do.

Of course the guy is an idiot, but he doesn't speak for white, southern, Republican Christians any more than I do. My guess is that this guy: 1) truly believes this, 2) truly believes he's got the best interest of ALL Christians at heart, and 3) is trying to inject some "controversy" to get more people knowledgeable about the AFA. With the help of those who are freaking out about this guy's opinions, #3 will probably succeed.

This guy does NOT speak for all Christians, and any left-wing attempt to spin that is off-base.

One patently CANNOT base deportation decisions on one's religion. In theory, one could block immigration based on that, but that goes against our historic melting pot theory. But after the fact? That begs the question of determining just exactly WHO is Moslem, rounding them up, finding a place to ship them to, and getting them there. At the very least, that involves manpower the government just doesn't have. Yet another boondoggle to jack up the deficit. And that ignores that a significant portion of the American Moslem population was either born here or converted here. Hence, there are no "places of origin" to ship them to.

Evangelization is one thing. I'm cool with that. The Bible even orders it. But the Word does NOT say anything about forcibly deporting people of another faith. That tr@sh goes counter to the core beliefs of the Christian faith. That's fear speaking, not faith. Punishing a majority for the actions of a VERY few smacks of Apartheid, if not National Socialism. This guy ought to lose his job for this.

Muhammad was born circa 571. The Protestant Reformation is considered to have begun in 1517 when Martin Luther published "The Ninety-Five These," and concluded in 1648 with the Treaty of Westphalia. Centuries of efforts at reform preceded the Protestant Reformation, starting with the Waldensians in 1177.

Ironically, the Reformation was at least partially stimulated by the Renaissance (of Classical learning), which in turn was made possible in part by the retention of classical literature and knowledge in the Muslim cultures of the east. Yet this great ancient knowledge did not have the same politically stimulative and reformative interal effects on Muslim society as on western Christian society. None of the Muslim "squabbles" between sects eliminated the cruel and inhuman practices of slavery or dhimmitude integral to sharia law. Unlike the Christian world, where productive evolutionary change and diversity have been embraced or at least tolerated, every cultural diverse flowering in the muslim world has been crushed by militant jihadist Islam.

Even if, as you suggest, the Muslims got a late start on reform, then the first efforst of reform should have been visible as early as 1748, 571 years after the Waldensians. Two and a half centuries later, we are still waiting.
