2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
Re: 2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
Yikes. 2-0 Boston very early in the first period. Could be a quick series at this rate.

Quite the game Saturday. You hate to lose games on the road that you can win, but it should have been over in the first two minutes of OT if it weren't for Boucher. Not a must win game tonight, but it sure would be nice to get the split on the road. Both teams played well Saturday. That said, I did NOT like the way Carle was handling the puck in the defensive end and please don't let Timonen bring the puck up the ice on the power play. WTF??93henfan wrote:Yikes. 2-0 Boston very early in the first period. Could be a quick series at this rate.

Down 0-3.
Barring a major turnaround, I'll be a Blackhawks fan soon. Temporarily of course.

I'd laugh at you but the Flyers could be in the same position in 13 hours.AshevilleApp wrote:Down 0-3.

For 93 and 89, on behalf of Travis.

Re: 2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
No biggie if they do get swept. They already took out #2, so they're past where they were supposed to finish. They're playing with house money at this point. Missing Laperriere, Gagne, and Carter really started showing in this series.Grizalltheway wrote:For 93 and 89, on behalf of Travis.![]()
Everyone's playing for second place to Pittsburgh anyway.

Meh, I think whoever comes out of the west will handle them. Probably just my WCB showing, though.93henfan wrote:No biggie if they do get swept. I'm not saying Pittsburgh is the best team, but they get by with a little help from their friends:

Care to elaborate on any instances of referee bias towards Pittsburgh in this year's playoffs?93henfan wrote:I'm not saying Pittsburgh is the best team, but they get by with a little help from their friends:
I haven't really noticed anything, but then I haven't been able to see all the games.
Re: 2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
I haven't watched Pittsburgh closely in this year's playoffs yet. I'm going off of last year, and if you didn't think there was bias last year, I'm not sure what you were watching.JayJ79 wrote:Care to elaborate on any instances of referee bias towards Pittsburgh in this year's playoffs?

Once I get a chance to watch Pittsburgh closely this year, I'll let you know exactly what I'm talking about. It's quite obvious.

Screw the Canucks and their whiny Goaltender Bobby Lou..Nothing is ever his fault, its always interference...Hey Bobby, try holding the puck and not giving away so many rebounds with Hawks near your net...LOL This series is far from over, but Dustin Byfuglien just has Vancouver's numberGrizalltheway wrote:Feck that, pull for the Canucks.AshevilleApp wrote:Down 0-3.![]()

Yuo, the Pens have the favored son status and as such, they have and they will get every little break possible. They could still be beat of course, but the mountain to climb over to do that is made higher by the favoritism.93henfan wrote:I haven't watched Pittsburgh closely in this year's playoffs yet. I thought the mountain was easier to climb because the top 3 D-bags in the East lost in Rd 1GannonFan wrote: They could still be beat of course, but the mountain to climb over to do that is made higher by the favoritism.
I mean c'mon the B's are gonna be in the Conference Finals...That's a joke

Watching Game 4 (of the Pens/Habs series), I can kind of see why non Pittsburgh fans could develop that opinion about the officiating.93henfan wrote:I haven't watched Pittsburgh closely in this year's playoffs yet. Nothing blatantly bad, but a couple tossup calls (situations that are sometimes called, sometimes not) that all happened to go in Pittsburgh's favor.

Hawks beat the Holy Shit out of the Canucks in 2 games in Vancouver...Canucks now on life support down 3-1...Maybe Bobby Lou will cry again this year

So #1 seed Bruins who dominated all season gets knocked out early in 2009.
#6 seed Bruins who seemed lost most of the season is one win from the Conference championship series.

Re: 2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
When the #1 and #2 seeds get knocked out in the first round, anything is possible. Congrats on the soon-to-be series win over the Flyers, but you have P-burgh next. Good luck with that.UNHWildCats wrote:So #1 seed Bruins who dominated all season gets knocked out early in 2009.

Assuming they can actually win the series. Of course at this point its also assuming the Bruins can close out this series as well.93henfan wrote:When the #1 and #2 seeds get knocked out in the first round, anything is possible. But man a Bruins/Canadians Eastern Conf Finals would be
Re: 2010 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs
The Bruins looked lifeless tonight. They better get serious about the series. The cliche that the fourth win is the toughest to get is starting to appear on the radar. Of course, as a Flyers fan, I hope they stay lifeless.
